I think it's game related and there seems to be some discussion happening, so I think it will be fine.

Even so... I think we can make an exception for a truly exceptional human being. RIP, Mr. Hawking. I with I could have met you. Perhaps someday.

Feel better guys because this is the day Einstein was born. In a weird way, needing to make connections where there is none it is somewhat pleasing to know that this is the day that Einstein was born. Yesterday we lost a great mind. Today marks the day another great scientist was born. I know both men are gone now but my simple mind remains hopeful that another genius will be born today.
Whoa... I think I've been possessed by @Amber Raine lol.

Almost made it to Pie day.

Stephen Hawking lived for 55 years after his diagnosis with ALS, a disease that is normally fatal within 4. He's contribution to physics are immeasurable, cementing his position amongst the greatest physicists to have ever lived. His perseverance in the face of all adversity is a testament to what people can accomplish when they don't accept their limits. While we are less for his passing, I think it's best to remember his accomplishments.

@Lord British did spend some time relaying the story of the venture to get Stephen Hawking into the zero gravity flights.

It's space related, and it's simply something we all relate too. It's fine Tetsu, please stop posting problems with it here, we'd appreciate it.

Allow me to make it simply clear...

Richard knew Stephen... Stephen inspired Richard... Shroud of the Avatar is Richard's inspired work... Richard is the first person I told when I found out about Stephen's passing from Rild. Richard will be honoring Stephen Hawking tomorrow by telling stories about times they shared together...

This is not an off-topic discussion...

"He is only here for some hours", God said, "but he showed me mathematically already without doubt that I don't exist."

This was in the WaPo this morning and thought I would share it.

“Black holes ain’t as black as they are painted,” Dr. Hawking once said in a lecture, characteristically describing complicated physics in ordinary language. “They are not the eternal prisons they were once thought. Things can get out of a black hole, both to the outside and, possibly, to another universe. So, if you feel you are in a black hole, don’t give up. There’s a way out.”

ah, one of my favorite semi-crackpot theories! explains why time goes in one direction, too.

Do ignore the tidal forces tearing you apart into a fine mist on the way in. That's just a minor detail, some of your matter will be sure to get out eventually!

I at least got to see him in person once, at a MacWorld Expo in Boston back in the '90s. They made a really long ramp that went completely around the stage for him to drive up.

Almost amusing you would say that dear heart as this weeks service is an example of what both men brought to us. Lead by example and be a shining example onto those around you and those for our future. Both men are highly looked up to by myself and inspirations. I have always admired Einstein and Hawkings. If there were two men anywhere in time or space I would have been honoured to meet, it would be these two. I have faith that they will not be the only two that bring us inspiration and guiding lights to lead us into the next century. SH will be greatly missed but like Lady Diana his words, his spirit, his guidance will always be a blessing we can draw on for generations to come.
