Suggestion - have starting area NPC's give food and tell player to eat

    I mean in the battles even, have Edvard give the player something that will last at least 10 minutes.

    Lol. Sorry, I do like the idea in general of starting area NPCs introducing players to game mechanics like you're suggesting. But I still never eat food in the game, because I find it pointless. I have a bunch of stuff like apples in my bank that I could use if I felt it would be useful, but I leave it there because I don't feel the need. So, if I were a starting player again, I would be "Thanks, but why?"

    I generallydo think it would be useful to have some Provisioner NPC in starter area that would provide food, torches, maps, pouches and bags. Talk to the player about travel, etc.

    oh no, think of the crafters! /s

    edit: actually, do. many releases ago, npcs sold what was sold to them. set up a merchant who sells small bags and torches and a basic food or three, but have his stock be limited to what players sell him.
