I would like to suggest the implementation of Player Professional Associations.

It would be kind of like a second type of guild that you have the option of joining and is based on a specialized profession that would grant you special perks and additional quests.

    To avoid abuse:
It should cost a substantial fee like 50k gold or more depending on the profession to join.
There should be a cool down timer after leaving a profession to join another.
You should only be able to be a member of one profession at a time.

This is not meant to be a character class system, just a fun way to RP, earn gold, and gain a reputation.

I would love to hear peoples' thoughts on this. I hope the devs take this and roll with it. maybe they already have a similar thing in the works.

    example 1:

    Detective Collective of Novia

    requirements:
    lvl 20 and above
    no recent criminal status
at least 100 skill points allocated to combat

    perks:
access to a worldwide bounty list.
    cool uniform/disguise
exclusive or bonus innate abilities like tracking and detect hidden.
    donuts
option to arrest instead of kill???

    quests:
hunting down high level NPC and possibly other players who are criminal or murderer status. This would involve traveling around to different areas and interviewing NPCs for clues.
    NPC rescue and escort missions

    example 2:

    Royal Realtors' Association

    requirements:
    must own a housing lot
must have 100k in the bank

    perks:
the ability to sell other players' houses on contract and collect commision
access to a list of all available lots in the world
optional office rental in a major metroplois

    quests:
maybe convincing NPC shopkeepers to buy or sell their shops??? IDK about this one :p

    example 3:

    Merry Merchants Worldwide

    requirements:
    must have an active vendor
must have at least 100k in all time vendor sales

    perks:
access to a spot in a vendor mall located in a metropolis
    discount vendor tax?
access to a worldwide trade bulletin / player wish list

    quests:
scavenger hunt type quests that involve collecting bulk of common items (i.e. 1000 of a reagent), item sets (i.e. armor sets), or super rares.
once they we get boats: distribution missions that involve fighting pirates.

    Hey Angel -

I think that this is a great idea for future content. I think there are a ton of technical limitations that would exist that make it difficulty to implement in Episode 1 (given how much work is already left!) but you have some excellent ideas!

I'd like to see this more like secondary classes... and maybe not necessarily have gold involved? But sure some specific actions / achievements which then give you access to additional abilities and resources in the world would be great.

one of the benefits of a system like this would be gold sink to strengthen the game economy
