Just before I pressed the summon glyph, I was sitting down AFK for at least ten minutes. With the lag, I am not sure if I was completely standing up yet when I pressed the summon glyph.
Just after this happened, I noticed the network lag symbol on the screen.

There was a bug a short while back (perhaps r60 qa https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...it-nothing-used-light-and-hit-nothing.146388/) that several commands were causing the message 'You hit nothing!' but since that release went live I haven't been seeing it. This is the first time in R61 I have seen this. But, I really don't remember seeing the other message 'Your call was unanswered.' when I have a live pet whistle equipped. That message was normally for a whistle that had a dead pet on it.

Could it be that the lag caused the code for a dead pet to run because it was responding so slowly?

And, by the way, this avatar is an alt if that helps you research the bug.

I remember @Sindariya had kind of summoning Probs as well. Resurrection made the pet got directly in the whistle instead of just stand up and move on.
