Summoned pets and tamed pet death bug/exploit?

I think I would put this in the exploit category, but not sure if you really intended this to be the case. Pains me to tell you all about this one as it can be really hard to get back to a dead tamed pet and this really helps prevent the pet loss, but I doubt this was something you intended.

Title: tamed pet death affected by summoning magic pets

Details: If my tamed pet should die in combat (large red spider was used in Soltown Sewers and other zones) and I summon an elemental pet after it's death, that tamed pet goes right back to my whistle without me having to rez them. This also works if both me and the pet die. All I have to do is summon an elemental pet and I do not have to worry about going back to rez the dead tamed pet. The tamed pet timer does still stay ticking down; so said tamed pet can not be re-summoned right away.
Steps to Reproduce:
1 - Soltown Sewers - let that nasty archer and fighter kill your tamed pet
2 - summon an elemental pet (I used skelly or earth pet)
3 - note you can no longer see the tamed pet corpse - nor will the tamed pet be under your name in the UI
4 - when your tamed pet timer has counted down, re-summon your tamed pet

This was a known issue that was reported earlier this release. You'll be happy (or sad) to hear that this will no longer be possible in R27. If another creature is summoned while your pet is dead, the pet is gone. Permadead.

 

Oh thanks for the heads up Attenwood. Yes, I will be sad. Mages need all the help they can get.
