Do the Will-O-Wisp's debuffs scale with the level of that skill or just the health? What about moon attunement, does that have any affect?

This has always made me curious as well.

Does the debuff actually increase the effects from other lunar based spells at all?

Interestingly, my 2 characters both have wisps, but different level wisps. I can check when I get home.

I just tested on a practice target. My Summon Will-O-Wisp skill is 100 and my Moon attunement is 54. The wisp would cast a debuff that would lower the target's DR by one point that lasts 6 or 7 seconds, Confuse that lasts about 2 seconds and sometimes Mesmerize which also lasts about 2 seconds.

    That is... underwhelming.

Yeah, that was my reaction too.

[edit] It does only eat 10 focus though.

    Confirmed for any level Wisp.

Anpu - Level 50 Wisp. Same exact debuffs.
Suti - Level 29 Wisp. Same exact debuffs.

So other than health per level, it does nothing.

    Good to know now.

Another thing that I have noticed about the wisp is that it's highly magic resistant.

Since the only benefit of raising this skill higher is more health for the wisp, I dropped it back down to 80 and used the points for other skills (like poisoning, which will be usable with ranged in R56).

This is great feedback. I only have mine at 40 currently and will hold off on raising until much, much later. Thanks Barugon! :)

This is good to know. I was so proud of my wisp, too.

Though while we're on the subject--I would love to have my wisp be a "faint light source" like it says in the description so I can stop with the Light spell. I hate the Light spell.

Heh how long it take for people to notice all the summons are so weak they cannot carry character even in starter areas?

The point of the wisp is to debuff your enemies, not fight your battles for you.

Yes but as other summon are super weak in their damage so is Wisp as inefficient and weak with its buffs. They don't scale even if you train your Wisp to level 100 and have 200 attunement to moon magic.

Maybe it's time the summoned animals got rebalanced. After all, you increased the difficulty of mobs and added aetheric creatures because of the power curve of players, maybe it's time to give summoners some love.

You just lost attunement by doing that.

not necessarily. attunement is the top ten skills in the tree. if there's more than ten, you can have the others low.

Wow, 2 attunement. Those experience points were much more useful elsewhere.

[edit] BTW, I can easily take one of the other skills from 40 to 60 to make up for it... but I don't really care.
