Summoning whistle can't be removed from character sheet

    I know this bug was reported for previous releases, but I did not see a fix or solution.
    I am somewhat stuck now. I had a wolf spider tamed and decided to upgrade to a large brown spider. I successfully tamed the brown spider only to realize I do not yet have the skill to actually summon it.

    I can't remove the whistle with the large brown spider from my character. I crafted a new whistle but can't equip it. Cannot drag other necklaces from inventory to character sheet either.

    I have tried zoning, re logging, dying and resurrecting.
