Yeah, there's a lot of those. They feel kinda half-axxed.

Another big-picture issue. I can get behind higher level mobs having more resistance, but in many (most) instances this seems to equate to near total resistance, such that many skills become nearly useless in tougher fights. Which means even less variety in high-level builds.

 

Which mages cast death magic? Or are you talking about PvP?

 

Elven mages usually cast death ray, and undead casters do too. Ghosts cast death field.

 

I see elven mages casting searing ray but not death ray. Also, I see ghosts casting death ray but not death field. I think Lich mages might cast death touch, but I'm not sure.

 

Weird. I'm not sure I've ever seen an elf cast searing ray, but lots of death ray. Satyrs do searing ray a lot.

 

Ghosts seem like they are casting Death ray, but their death ray touches every target in the vicinity, thus, Death Field. Pretty sure elves do Death Ray, might have to re-confirm, but I've always had Purify/Celestial blessing for them for that specific reason.

 

Whatever it is, it's red and I've never seen it actually heal the elven mage. When I cast death ray, it's dark, like smoke.
