I’d love to just see snakes in the game as well! Maybe they might be found in that new snake shaped continent....
I'm not sure, but I think there are issue with moving snakes in a 3d environment. At any rate yea, this is among one of the creatures I would like to see. We could even have different kinds. Vipers hidden in the grass, pythons in swamp waters that constrict you. There could even be giant ones, in the form of basilisks or wyrms which inhabit desert ruins or cave tunnels.
Yes I believe there are challenges with clipping and such.. ie moving around rocks and trees, uneven ground... That being said.. if we did do snakes.. we'd definitely need some... silver ones. Water based serpents might be a lot easier to deal with...
I recall Atos once saying there will never be snakes in the game. Something to do with how collision boxes worked, I think.
And just to beat everyone else to it: I've had it with these m*****f****** snakes in this m*****f****** game!
@Cora Cuz'avich Too bad, because if there were snakes, there could also be clockwork articulated snakes
Giant snakes would be great for being pests and pets alike! We absolutely need snakes as both wild baddies and player housing NPC pets. Like real snakes, there should be a variety of levels of aggro, ranging from only responding when provoked to a small aggro radius, to full out aggro. There also should be several types, including coil strike snakes, standard snakes and constrictors. Also, we need various types of carved serpent statues. This could be used to add features in later episodes by having the occultists divide into orders, with one of them being "The order of the Serpent" (The current one is obviously "The Order of Bloody Bones")
It probably will not be called Serpent Isle due to intellectual property owned by EA. But probably something to do with Serpents.
Let me guess, if this feature gets added we will have thousands of "Snake" jokes from you for the next few months, or until you find something else to joke about.
They told us we can't have snakes because they're too difficult to code up. That's what I was told in the forums anyhow. Seems kind of an oversight in a world where the great Earth Serpent is so important, but....
