Targetting!

    I am asking for guidance cos this feels wrong.

    If I shift+click, or use the next target key, I thought that locked our target on that object yes? not when (cos its stupid and runs off) you now target yet another mob so now both decide hey, now theres 2 of us, lets go eat Liz..

    Im interested on others thoughts

    should /assist be a thing?
    should the target key lock your target unless you change it using the same manners?

    or are you happy with what it does now which is almost randomly jump if the mob is not your direct line of sight?

    I prefer my target stays locked , until I decide to switch it to another ...

    I want my target to stay locked, and hate it randomly jumping to something else because they steped in front of the target or my camera shifts. It makes using ranged weapons and distance spells very difficult.

    My favorite part about the targeting is when you quietly and carefully find just the right position to peel off a bandit or two from a large group, so you don't get pummeled, and your spell re-directs itself to the one in the back.

    Well, I think arrows and projectile spells should shoot straight down your reticle... oh wait, this is not an FPS game.

    I do not know what is better, but I find it squirrelly for melee. I can swing away at large groups and never get a target selection. Why have to hit G? Should it not target at least one of the mobs you just hit?

    Let ME pick my target and let THAT TARGET remain my target until I pick another.
    How/why we EVER left that mode of targeting is beyond stupid.
