Meh. Current taxes still seem a bit low to me. after a short afternoon I had enough to pay up for 2 months on a village

That would be way too low. Youd only need play for 5 minuites or so to pay for an entire week or more, and thats if your not a merchant.

I dunno what it is now tho but 100 a day is too low

Maybe your pledge is too big guys?

You started with good gears, Pet, house, free lots, vendor etc etc ....

You have to think that a lot of players with a pledge at $45.

Personally I play with gear pick on monsters etc etc. P2W ? Nah, I think we have amazing game but think to the poor people trying to play too.

I'm sure you are saying this just to flame people. But seriously? dominate a control point to pay off a village lot? That's rather extreme. City lot? sure.

Anyone with a $45 pledge doesn't have to worry about taxes for a while. First they would have to save up 120,000 gold just to buy a row lot deed.

In my opinion, taxes are still too low. I would feel comfortable with them sitting at the equivalency of 1 years tax = the cost of the deed up front.

Last release i had 1 taxfree row lot, 1 full tax row lot and 2 full tax village lots(all paid as long as i could). I also was sitting on over 1 million gold (from mining - not any bugged quest shenanigans). This release I'm not anywhere close to that yet - but i can easily walk home with 2-3k in gold already after 20 min. I would say taxes are NOT too high, and might be slightly too low right now. However, 200 is definitely a lot closer to the appropriate than 100 was.

I've been using a starter gear with the exception a 30g shield and a longsword from NPC. Made about 10k G so far while get on and off during my free time.

You shouldn't run into tax issue of you farm at the right place and the right mobs.

Not necessarily true, they could have a $45 pledge and have bought a deed from the add-on store such as a row.
Aye, I feel bad for anyone that has to pay taxes in this game if people keep wanting it to be higher and higher, especially casual players and people on a limited budget. :(
Can't wait for the rental feature, and I'm hoping we can have the option of charging 0 gold so that people can stay in house and basement rooms free of charge.

Simply go to east perenial trail, kill the skellies and bandits, loot all. Althought the loot is not polished yet, for now, you can make a minimum of 1000 gold in an hour reselling those weapons. All that with your starter skills and gear.

Do the purolator quest (courrier) 200 gold every time. They are all in close range from one to the other. You can easily pay up for a month of taxes in no time and little efforts.

You already have 14 days of paid taxes. By the time it will be gone, you should be able to pay for a couple months easy

Maybe, but i think you'll find that gold won't be an issue as much later.

edit: truth be told i haven't even used my house this release.

That's one thing I'm trying to do for people with lower pledges or no housing. The best I can do is give them their own floor in a barracks in exchange for a handful of raw materials (which i will pay them for). No rent, no tax. Hopefully they can save up enough gold to get something. Or if it requires real world money, I can give them the time to save up some cash to buy a lot. Or they can just stay in the barracks. There's no time limit. Hopefully I can help them enough to get something going.
