Ah, i'd also would like to know the reasons of using or changing this architecture: i guess it's about keeping it cheap (P2P) until you get to a release point where you spend much more $$$ on a huge central server but i'd like to know more ;)

Let's hope you can talk about that soon! Thanks!

I know its supposed to negate attacker attunment (its compared to attackers attunment) but there is no attacker attunment in pve. So if its strait up resist it works in pve, if its compared to attacker attunment then its not taken into account in pve

Id have to pour through videos to see if its even mentioned.

The tech talk videos here answer it man. It's detailed but the simple answer is you have bad information thinking mobs don't have attunement. He's specifically said they do. I don't think they all do yet. Not sure if he said that in these videos or elsewhere. But the math he shares here is all you need to figure out what you're looking for. PvE or PvP.

Correct! :) I didn't get it mentioned here yet... sorry, here's what I said in Discord!

Duke Violation Clauth-Today at 3:46 PM Eastern
okay, it's live, and chris is fixed from .1% audio to 100% audio at 3:47 timestamp... [broken link intentionally]
(his volume slider is 100% of .1% before that... just to be clear)
(my volume slider was 30% of .1% at start and ended at 50% of .1% ... figured his would be the same but obviously this whole looping and refeeding thing only gets divided audio locally and not remotely as well)

I looped everything around twice today so I could feed my feed to Chris first and then out from there to everyone else... prior to this he hasn't been able to see me/stream ... now he sees it in hangouts then I feed it out to you guys after that... so yeah... I screwed up on some of the settings including the fact that I put him at 100% of the volume level and then copied my reduced audio from source to 1/10th of a percent (lowest I can do with my sound card, everyone always complains I'm really loud).

    also, on another note...
1080p is now available on YouTube! :D Text is way easier to read!

OP has all 3 of them. I'm not doing one today because of the postmortem ... only so many hours Chris can talk to the camera before the crazy eyes

These are great! Thanks to you both for taking the time to do this.

@Chris you mentioned the need to get a lot of this info into the tooltips, and that you were the best one to do it.

However, I'm wondering if we could get transcripts of the content here, and then parse the info out into the Instructions.

Could that be a lower "bandwidth" solution to make all of this info accessible?

If it weren't for other forum members pointing me here, I may have never found it. Plus, as interesting as the content is, I'm lucky to have a few extra hours to listen to it all!

OK I'm listening through #3 and am still confused about something.

So let's say putting 1,000,000 XP into basicSkill1 is going to yield a level 100 in that skill.

What level was basicSkill1 at for 1000 XP? 10,000 XP? 100,000 XP?

EDIT: Think I found it here.

Alright, if I am understanding these numbers correctly:

It takes approximately 1% of XP needed to GM to get to level 50 in skill, but that skill will be at about 70% as effective as it would be at GM.

It takes approximately 15% XP to get to level 80, at which the same skill will be at 90% effectiveness as compared to GM.

To get to level 90 will take 35% XP, with 95% of effectiveness.

The other 65% of XP (about 800K for a basic T1 skill!!) will take one from level 90 to GM, and result in a 5% gain in effectiveness.

    Is this right?

Also- regarding xp loss on death- is it 2.5% for all levels or only skills above 40, or..?

If I'm fighting a mob and I get killed PvP how/when/if/decay? Do I take decay because a mob was involved? Do I not take decay because the killing blow was from an Avatar? A mob fireball happens to be the kill shot so do I take decay?

    @Chris
Regarding decay, you had mentioned previously that you were considering the following scaled decay scheme:
    • 0 - 40 = no decay.
    • 41 - 80 = half decay.
    • 81 - 100 = normal decay.
    • 100+ = double decay.

I like this scheme as it wouldn't penalize people any more that the current decay system for having a couple of GMs and would lessen the decay for more casual players. However, in the video you said that you were considering this:
    • 0 - 40 = no decay.
    • 40 - 60 = half decay.
    • 60 - 80 = normal decay.
    • 80 - 100 = double decay.

If this is really what you're considering then please don't change it at all because that will simply punish everyone.
