So far have tested on mobs in a few encounters no issues also tested in Central Brittany with NPC's all highlight with a single click, then dbl clk or E to converse. So far no issues. Will only report back if I find any. Honestly, I find this a great QOL improvement.

I agree with Sean, great QOL improvement. While I do a lot of my targeting with the tab key that doesn't work with neutral mobs and sometimes if there are a lot of mobs it is hard to tab to the one you want. Single clicking on a moving target is much easier for me than double clicking. I haven't come across any situations yet where the change interferes with my game play. I'll do more testing but so far good job and thanks!

this is working out very badly for me, as i mouse-move. the select target is reading the mouse-move as a single click and changing my target to whatever my mouse is over when i start moving. annoying in towns when i don't want to select anyone, potentially deadly in battle.

aside from keeping it from seeing mouse-moving as selection, may i suggest disabling it on friendly targets? there's generally no need to select them except for perhaps targeting an emote.

    Will try that today myself.

EDIT: Yeah mouse move is extremely rough for sure.

Tested this as well, and like @Alley Oop am also a "mouse mover". It makes things exceedingly annoying to deal with as I am now constantly highlighting different targets. In combat it makes the game all but unplayable for me.

I am not seeing this in windows 10:

Approach group of 5 bandits (Bandit leader 1 thug 3 bandit). Left click on Bandit Leader then mouse move in circles around group. Selected Bandit Leader target stays targeted and doesn't change. It stays as selected. I don't see the selected target changing?

    Put it on a toggle.

Tested, working fine for selecting pets and npcs.

Though I do agree, having this on a toggle would be preferable so you can approach each situation in the best way.
