1. We have a dedicated Player Test Environment on our QA server available for player use. This server will be kept open with periodic database resets, when we will copy the database from the live server. The server database will be updated at least twice a month during a scheduled maintenance window.

Though players are welcome to use the QA server to experiment or test anything they wish, we will post patch notes and testing directives in this area. Players testing new content, features and systems will greatly help in reducing post release bugs and making the game better.

To assist players in helping us make the game better, the Test Server will award login bonuses in CotOs and Gold coins to allow players to purchase resources or anything they may need to test from the Crown Store and/or from the in game vendors. In Addition, the Developers will announce dates/times when Dev Assisted Player Test Events will occur on the QA Server.

Please use the Test Environment Bug and Feedback forums for QA Server activities only.

You can help test by downloading a new SotA Launcher(QA) installer to download a separate QA copy of the game. It exists independently from the regular live version of the game and installs to a separate folder. To use the Player Test Environment, please download the QA Server client here:

We have put a cache chest at the feet of the Hometown Town Crier with a stock of the new Player Dungeon Rooms for R133. Please patch up your QA clients and give these rooms a try!

There are four rooms to try:

    1. The Chicken Room
    [IMG]
A version of the fabled Chicken Room has been ported into a Player Dungeon Room. Of course changes have been made!

This iteration does not currently have a spawning chicken, but does have the legendary wood pile, floor torch, chair, and a plinth containing a copy of the Chicken Room Treatise.

There are a total of four connections available. Conn 1 and 2 are the stairwells up or down to the room (via secret door). Conn 3 and 4 are tied together via a teleporter and contain an alternate entrance into the room.

The teleport hallway is a straight through patch. So, if you use connection 3, then walk through the hall and teleport to the other end, you can then use connection 4 (and vice versa).

Since the entrance to the room is hidden in the hallway, this allows the players to either choose one of the stairwells which lead to the "visible" side of the secret doors, or use the hallways and "hide the chicken room" from adventurers.

    2. Secret Door Hallway
    [IMG]
This simply is a hallway section with a secret door in it. on the other side of the door, there is a hallway stub (This piece has a total of 3 connections).

NOTE: Known Issue... the end caps may be missing in the hallway with the secret door in this build. This issue has been corrected and will be in the next build.

    3. False Wall Hallway
    [IMG]
This is a single hallway section. Conn 1 is normal, Conn2 is a false wall that can be walked through when Conn2 is connected to something.

    4. Cross Hallway Teleporter Trap
    [IMG]
This is a cross shaped room. Conn1 is the lower floor and Conn2 is 15m higher and is perpendicular to Conn1. (NOTE: the teleporters are static. Due to the methods used to allow players to build their own dungeons, the teleporter destination must remain static and relative to the starting point. forcing it to remain in the single room.)

The Teleport function is in the middle of the hallways. It will teleport a player from one hall section to the other. This can be an interesting trap or misdirection...

Please create a feedback thread in the Player Test Environment feedback forum section with andy issues or input. Thanks for testing!!

    Updated QA weith build 1694:

Fixed a number of issues with the new player dungeon rooms.
Sadly, I failed to re-enable placement collision and connection components on the Player Dungeon Chicken Room, so in this build the room can be placed, but the hammers do not appear on the other connections. (already fixed and will be working in the next build).

Tool tips on Switches and signs are not currently possible. I intend to discuss this with Chris and see what tech changes may be required to make it work. I believe that the issue is related to the dynamic nature of the room locations when being built during runtime by a player.
