How is this any different than us getting monthly releases?

We will have polish, balance, and new features from now till the end of SotA. What we have been seeing since R1 will still be happening till they pull the plug.

If we drop the label of early access and launch. How would anyone identify the difference? Will the people playing since persistence see any change? (beyond what happens with every monthly update)

The label is an illusion. The game is live. No matter how you look at it.

Then all you care about is a label.

The saying “actions speak louder than words” comes to mind.

The actions don’t match the words in this case.

Day one of launch, the new player logs in and starts playing, everything is new as expected. The pre launch player that has done everything prior to launch will still have done everything. Except what was added for that current monthly update.

It’s like Disney World saying it opens at 8:00 AM but they allow people in at 7:00 AM. Sure, the opening time is 8 but they are open at 7.

And let's throw out another example!

"One of the earliest known examples of this model is Minecraft. The game was created in mid-2009 by Markus Persson initially as a browser-based game that he developed alongside his full-time job. The alpha-version game proved popular enough that within the month of release, Persson added a means by which players could pay 10 euros (approximately $15) to access the game, allowing him to continue its development. As sales of the game increased, he was able to quit his job about eight months later to work on the game full-time and founding Mojang to bring on a larger development team. Minecraft continued to offer early access throughout its development period, assuring those that bought into it would receive the final version for free. The game was considered complete and released as a full title in late 2011. Prior to this release, over 1.8 million players had purchased into the alpha- and beta-stage releases, with over $33 million raised from these early sales.[3] Minecraft's success led to the early access approach becoming a popular way to publishing indie titles."

How do they know who to reward. I have been pretty regular the last two releases working on QA. I would like a special ingame title. Like Cartographer since I roam all over the place checking scenes and such. LOL

It's not about greed. Its about valuing their time and hard work and wanting it directly rewarded, not a chance of a reward. I fully understand and validate their concerns. Thank you :) :)

Don't quote wiki as a source please. You lose credibility because wiki is not a reliable source thank you

While Wikipedia is not 100% reliable, no source is. However it has been and continues to be a valuable resource for many many things.

I disagree. There are many avenues out there to gather accurate info that are by far more reliable than wiki. Do they get things wrong sometimes...sure cause people are human but when you have to literally check the accuracy of your source as you would with wiki than it is not a valuable resource. Those other avenues have a far better track record. Thank you.

Please don't parrot bogus statements. All you need to do in order to verify the validity of an article is scroll down to the bottom and check the references.

Maybe you could try posting links to those "other avenues".

BTW, with any source, you need to check the references.

I have one question; is the ingame title still one of the rewards? I don't see it in the list.

People could always, you know, just report bugs for the greater good of improving the game.
