Testing Incentives Program

The best incentive is to see such and such a bug fixed in the patch notes. Something I've had the pleasure to see for bugs I've reported over the past few years.

Maybe no one has heard anything about the current incentive rewards because it's, oh, I don't know, the weekend.

Yes! A quick update that we are in fact tracking all of your contributions, so rewards will be handed out once we get the content built. Expect rewards to start going out at some point hopefully in R35.

Meanwhile, please do start participating in the program if you like!

 

Will QA stay open for testing during R34?

 

QA has already been brought down for the last release test, so I don't believe so. That part of the program will be more intermittent at this time.

 

I wish i could play on the QA server.. but it seems not having known of the games existance till last month means i cant help

 

This is not restricted to the QA server. Read the announcement. You can submit bugs to the regular /bug forums and still help test. Testing is not restricted to Dev+.

 

You can also help on the qa server, but it takes an appropriate bundle to unlock that ability.

 

noooooooooooooo! i much prefer doing my testing on qa and my 'living in the world' on production... please see about bringing it back.. was hoping we'd have a lower-bandwidth permanent qa server we could use once the game hit persistence, to help you folks out more..

 

I see scattered threads about testing Incentives. one guy said he got some COTAs is this true? i haven't seen anything yet. is there any way to tell if we are getting our rewards, and what rewards we can expect?

 

I believe you can see it on the main website if you look at your account. Should be in the 'Rewards' section.

Would love to know what the requirements are for the other QA exclusive rewards:

• Ant Farm: Decoration you can place in your house with ants crawling around in it. Don’t break it!
• Corpion Chair: Don’t fear the cushion of its deadly comfort!
• Insect Leg Table
• Butterfly Chair
• Set of Bug Paintings: An assortment of Classical still life paintings featuring insects

I dont think they physically announced the precise requirements, just do your best and see what you get. While its kinda cool to get something for doing it, I love working in a bug hunting environment (hence Im a bug brigader) and if the QA server was open all the time.. Id actually live on it.

Make this clear path for expectations, instead of possible disappointment/discouragement.

And let the testers make the decision if its worth their time with this requirements in tact.

Don't mind answering to the plead call for help... but if its for only 5 Coto's and several of bugs reported and doing more time that the only stipulation (4 hours), then at least we know what to expect and can make decisions going forward.

well, you are getting now all bugs reported a response that they have been forwarded to the devs for review, rather than making them read the forum they have a tool they have put together to read in a more concise manner bugs we find and we on the bug hunting crew are putting them in that tool for you. Is this not a start? Yes, I know from what we see the same bugs may get mentioned and raised again and again but, they have made a move to improve though..
