The title says it all: thanks for the better performance! :)
The game runs much better and the new loading-screens are beautiful :p

And once they work out all the new bugs I'll be even more thankful. Creating problems and then fixing them, an endless gratitude cycle ;)

I'd also like to say to the devs:

Thank you for the performance improvements!
And for removing the confirmation on watering (my wrist thanks you especially).
And most of all, thanks for putting up with us - we wouldn't keep telling you what needs work if we didn't care about the game and your efforts. :)

Zoning is noticeablely better, at least twice as fast. Whatever was done, do it again!

I find the initial load, the first time I load the game, is still pretty sluggish. Faster, and the login screen is now ~10s from ~1m, but after I log in, from there to the world it spends a long time at 50%.

We didn't get as much performance work as we wanted done this release because so much time was spent completely over hauling our resource system. BUT that switch over opens up tons of options for us and makes development and publishing more sustainable. Hopefully during the first half of next year we will switch to an entirely new patch system that will be MUCH more efficient. Also, opens up stuff like more dynamic content delivery and also having "High quality" asset builds where you can download high resolution textures for everything if your machine can handle it.

More work to go on hitching and memory but it should be MUCH better and metrics we track show that as well. Memory still growing but more slowly.

Overall frame rate will come in the next few releases but up slightly in the latest version!

Thanks for the kinds words and know that we aren't done by a long shot! Lots of improvements to go.

It's been an amazing release - especially given the fact that you all only had 3 weeks to get it out. Job well done!

Oddly enough I find things slower (on a high-end build) when it comes to loading scenes. My POT now takes a good while to get into when I first log-on, and then I watch the town build itself around me. Trees start to pop away, then houses and lots start to pop in to replace the trees. It may be that other things improved though, I just found loading my town subjectively longer than last release.

The only thing faster for me (Linux) is the initial load to get to the "play" button (I don't even understand why we need a screen with a play button o_O).

Very true! They could skip that screen altogether and get us in game a little quicker.

BTW: Very cute cat in your profile picture, Odyssey.

Uh... Good point Barugon. I think we have that because we're all numb to stuff like that that has been there since day 1. Expect it to be one next release. :p

Yeah, whatever you guys did in the most recent build really worked. I'm averaging 220+ FPS in Serenite. 1,200 FPS in Desolis right now. o_O
