Thanks for better salvaging

I just wanted to toss this one out, and I'm not sure how long ago it was implemented:

Decided to salvage a few junk items I was carrying instead of wander out to a merchant and was very pleasantly surprised to get a copper and iron ingot out of something that did not appear to have significant value already. I knew about the special crafting items, but hadn't had this particular event occur before. It was nice.

You can also get other components. I got a hilt the other day from salvage.

Do we still get covers from salvaging books, or did I miss out on that?

 

that ended up being buggy for some reason so they just put them on the booksellers.

 

Too bad. I was filling a chest full of books to be shredded.

 

that's still a good way to raise tailoring.

 

That has been going on for months, but you need very high salvaging skill (and some luck) to see it happen. I've even seen bronze and white iron ingots from things that (as far as I can remember) weren't actually that kind of metal. But very rare, as in I've only gotten the white iron ingot once.
