The carpentry cost of poles

    Seems a bit ridiculous.
    You can make a board for 90g assuming 30g per pine/maple wood which is currently cheap.

    That makes a pole 360g without taking into account consumables, why so much? I would expect to get more poles from a log than boards. That means a basic chair costs almost 600gold to make.

    Would it not make sense to increase the yields on this recipe?

    Agreed. There are several instances where the cost of production exceeds any reasonable market price.

    Players circumvent this by supplying themselves with materials. Self-sufficiency is a virtue, of course, but it makes for a rather flat economy.

    Yes, there are more crafting items which are worth to review them for logical reasons ;)
