This guide will detail the exact steps needed to finish the Episode 1 Main Quest - The Path of Love. There are already several other guide out there that also have this information already. However I wanted a more story centric and a more fully documented and very clear step by step guide. Of which this guide will be. Before even attempting these series of quests, you will need to know that the areas you will be sent to, will start to go up in difficulty. The last area of this series of quests, is a Tier 5+ area, and has a quite difficult battle that you will need to be able to accomplish. Make sure your characters skills are adequately leveled up, and have some good equipment before proceeding... You can however, leave and return to an area that you are having difficulty with, and continue to level up your skills till they are adequate enough to handle the challenges within those areas. Lastly, none of the journal entries refer to the "Path Of Love" in any way in the journal entries. The term "The Path of Love" is just a term used by players and developers to describe all the related quests that you need to follow for this one portion of the Episode 1 Main Quest (The Episode 1 Main Quest has 4 parts that need to be completed: The Path of Love, The Path of Truth, The path of Courage and the Oracle Quests). This entire guide is ONLY for a player to play solo. You can complete this series of quests in several ways, however in doing so, you will come upon several series of bugs where tasks do not clear. I will try to do a more story centered and logic based walkthrough in this guide. You are however free to do this how you wish. Just know many of the journal entries and task will be stuck, even if you have completed them. They will however be all (hopefully) be cleared at a certain point. The first step of the Episode 1 Main Quest - The Path of Love*, starts with a Guard Captain in the small town of Soltown... Part 1 - The Letter Enter Soltown and continue down the road south, until you see a NPC named Soltown Guard Captain. Speak to them. He will give his name as Stanley and then they will immediately ask for your name. Your name will be a keyword at the bottom of the dialogue window. Click that to proceed. Click the help keyword then courier keyword. Receive the Deliver Letter to Cugel task and journal entry and the Letter from Stanley to Guard Captain Cugel quest item.. Click Goodbye. Leave Soltown and head to the world map. On the world map, look at your compass at the top of your screen, you will see a blue quest marker for the city of Ardoris and when you hover your mouse over it, it will say Deliver Letter to Cugel. Head to the city of Ardoris. Due to the npc schedules of Khasi and Siranto, I would recommended you wait until Late Night (after Midnight) before you enter Ardoris and follow these steps. Doing so will give you plenty of time to speak to both Khasi and Siranto while they are awake. Once inside Ardoris, follow the road south, towards the large bridge. Before you enter the bridge, stop and look to the west. You will see a small walkway and a sign labeled Ardoris Boatman. Head west towards that sign and then follow the path south till you see a small boat. These are the fast access boats that will help you get around the city of Ardoris, because this city is huge and can be very confusing. However, by using these, you can zip off to most anywhere in the city in an instant! Keep an eye out for these signs and boats as you run around town, when you want to head to another area quickly, select these. Click on the boat named Ardoris Ferry and select the Gondola Station - South Docks destination and then click Choose Selected. You will immediately arrive in the docks area. Look at you map and the compass at the top of your screen. You will see a blue marker in the shape of a person. Hovering your mouse over it will have the Ardoris Guard Commander name and a task: Deliver Letter to Cugel. Go to this person and speak to them. He will give his name as Guard Captain Cugel. Give them your name if you wish. Click the letter keyword in the text window, or Letter from Stanley keyword at the bottom of the dialogue window. A window will open asking for the Letter from Stanley to Guard Captain Cugel quest item. Give that to him and receive the Meet with Khasi and Meet with Siranto tasks and journal entry. Click Goodbye. Head out of this building by the south door (this is near the water), and look around for any near by Ardoris City Guards. Speak to them. Manually type: Where is Siranto? They will then tell you he is located in the Palace of the Mountain. Manually type: Where is Khasi? They will then tell you she is located in the Palace of the Wind. Click Goodbye. Many (but not all) of the guards in Ardoris will place markers on your compass and map when you ask them for the location of places in Ardoris, if they know where this location is found. You will now have 2 markers on your map and compass for the Palace of the Mountain, where Siranto is and the Palace of the Wind, where Khasi is. Also in your compass are 2 blue markers for both Khasi and Siranto in your compass as well. Part 2 - The Ardoris Quests Head back to the docks area south and look again for the Ardoris Boatman sign and go to that, and then near the boat labeled Ardoris Ferry. We will now go speak to Khasi and go to the Palace of the Wind. Select the Gondola Station - Wind Palace Bridge and click the Choose Selected. After arriving at the bridge, turn East and go toward the gate. Click the switch that is located near each guard to open the gate and proceed to the Palace of the Wind. Enter the Palace and then head upstairs to where her throne is and speak to her. Khasi will wake up and head to her throne at Morning, but will then run downstairs to the kitchen to eat something, so just wait for her to return. Speak to her. Give her your name if you wish. Click the Felt, fading and dividing keywords. Click yes keyword. Receive Speak to Damai task and journal entry. Click Goodbye. Head back downstairs and near the entrance door of the Palace and find an NPC named Advisor to Khasi (there's 2 of the exact same named NPC's). Find the one near the palace entrance door. Speak to them. They will give their name as Damai. Click the undead then spirit-talker keyword, task Speak to Damai will clear. Receive Find a spirit talker task and journal entry. Click goodbye. Exit the Palace and open the gate and follow the bridge west. At the end of the bridge turn North East. Head there and see stairs leading down, and to another Ardoris Ferry. Click on the Ardoris Ferry and select the Gondola Station - Mountain Palace Bridge and then click Choose Selected. After arriving, go west toward the large gate. Click the switch near the guards by the gate and head into the palace. Go upstairs to where Siranto is in his throne room. Siranto will wake and go to his throne room at Morning (He goes to bed at Midnight). Speak to them. Give them your name if you wish. Click the undead/closer at hand keyword. Receive new task Speak with Pintar. Click Goodbye. Head back downstairs and near the entrance and find an NPC named Minister. Speak to them. They will give their name as Pintar. Click on the stopped/defeated and Necropolis keyword in the window. Speak with Pintar task clears. Click Goodbye. The two tasks Speak with Khasi and Speak with Sirano will still be there, because we still need to find one more thing from them. We will just continue ahead. Exit the Palace and open the gate. Look at your compass and map, you will not see any blue quest marker to the Peladjar Inn. Speak to either of the guards by the gate. Manually type: Where is peladjar inn? then click Goodbye. They will mark the compass and map with Sequanna Square. They don't actually mark the Peladjar Inn. Follow and cross the bridge east, and then turn north. Then turn east. Keep going east till you arrive at the Peladjar Inn. Enter the Peladjar Inn. Speak to the Tavern Patron wearing light yellowish clothing. Click name, he will give his name as Samael. Click the spirit-talker keyword then the accept/ask keyword. Receive Speak with Min Liang Tan task and journal entry. Click Key to necropolis keyword. Receive another Speak with Min Liang Tan task and journal entry. We now know we need a Keystone to enter the Necropolis, which we do not have yet. Find a Spirit-Talker* task does not clear (there is nothing else Samael can say or do at this stage). Click Goodbye. Exit the Peladjar Inn. Turn South West. No marker to Min is added or present. Head toward the building south west with the green and black banners outside the building. Enter the building and speak to the NPC named Official. He will give his name as Min Liang Tan. Click the key to necropolis keyword at the bottom of the dialogue window. Receive Discover what divides Siranto and Khasi task and journal entry. Both Speak to Min Liang Tan tasks clear. Click Goodbye. Exit the building and keep going north to the Ardoris Boatman sign. Click on the boat named Ardoris Ferry and click the Gondola Station - Wind Palace Bridge and click Choose Selected. Turn East and go through the gates and head back to Khasi's throne room. Speak to Khasi. Click husband then emperor's writ keywords. Receive Ask Min Liang Tan About Emperor's Writ task and journal entry. Speak to Khasi task does not clear (we have nothing else to ask her). Click Goodbye. Head out of the palace, through the gate and to the Ardoris Ferry. Click the Ardoris Ferry and select the Gondola Station - Mountain Palace Bridge. Click Choose Selected. Turn west and head through the gate to the palace to Siranto's throne room. Speak to Siranto. Click the Arabella, Priestess Khasi/Khasi and Sad and empress ring keywords. Receive Ask Min Liang Tan About the Empress Ring task and journal entry. Speak to Siranto task is still not cleared (we have nothing more to speak to them about). Click Goodbye. Head out of the palace, through the gate and to the Ardoris Ferry. Click the Ardoris Ferry and select the Gondola Station - Sequanna Square. Click Choose Selected. Go back to the building with Min Liang Tan. And speak to Min Liang Tan, (Only the Emporor's Writ keyword is present at the bottom of the dialogue window, the Empress Ring keword is missing at the bottom of the dialogue window) Click the Emporor's Writ keyword at the bottom of the dialogue window. Ask Min Liang Tan Emporor's Writ task and journal entry clears. In the dialogue window, manually type the word ring and press enter. Ask Min Liang Tan About the Empress Ring task and journal entry clears. Receive Enter the Tower of the Shuttered Eye task and journal entry. Click Goodbye. You will now have 4 uncleared tasks in you task and journal: Discover what divides Siranto and Khasi, Speak to Siranto*, Speak to Khasi* and Find a Spirit Talker*. These tasks and journal entries should have been all cleared when you completed each task, as you have completed all of them (except Discover what divides Siranto and Khasi because you do not know that answer yet). You will just have to ignore them unfortunately. Your next task is to go to the Tower of the Shuttered Eye. Go back to the Ardoris Ferry boat and select Oracle Confirmatory and select Choose Selected. Turn north follow the path out of town. I would recommend you wait until Dawn to enter the Approach to the Shuttered Eye scene. Mainly because of the poison mounds which will poison you and mushrooms that can stun you. In the daylight, you can easily see them and just avoid them. You can spend your time doing a lot of fishing in Ardoris, to pass the time, since Ardoris is surrounded by so much water... Part 3 - The Tower On the Overland Map, you won't see any marker to your next location on the compass or map. Follow the roads to the East to the large tower there. Enter the Approach to the Shuttered Eye scene and enter. This is a tier 4+ scene and will now have many various creatures that may be a bit difficult. So make sure your skills are properly trained and leveled before you head off in here. On entering, there will be no compass marker to the tower. Carefully make your way toward the large tower, and make sure to completely avoid the glowing mushrooms that will cause confusion on you (use the Purify spell to clear that) and the green mounds that spray green poison, which will poison you. There will be an unmarked door. Click the door and there is a hallway and at the end and will be named Entrance to the Tower of the Shuttered Eye. Click that and enter. As you enter, you will hear Min Liang Tan asking you to head up the stairs to the tower to join him. Make your way up the stairs. Eventually you find a room, empty of hostile creatures and only Min Liang Tan. Make sure you do not have any AOE spells on you (like immolate) and then speak to them. Click the called you here, Siranto, Khasi, truth, anapa keywords. Then click the new age keyword, he will now attack you. Kill him. Receive Inform Siranto/Khasi of Min's death task and journal entry. Receive Keystone for Necropolis quest item. Now exit the tower however you wish, or go explore. Part 4 - Back to Ardoris Exiting the tower, Discover what divides Siranto and Khasi and Find a Spirit Talker tasks will clear. Return back to Khasi in Ardoris in her throne room and speak to her. Then click Goodbye. Speak with Khasi task clears. The task Inform Siranto/Khasi of Min's death task and journal entry clears. This probably shouldn't be clearing yet, because I have not spoken to both leaders (Siranto) yet. Make your way to Siranto and speak to him in his throne room. Then click Goodbye. Speak with Siranto task clears. At this point (following this specific sequence) all of the lingering task and quest markers have cleared. There is now one more thing you have to do, unfortunately there isn't any task or journal entry telling you this. You actually need to go back and speak to Samael and now hire him to escort you through The Necropolis. Make your way back to the the Peladjar Inn and speak to Samael. Click the Necropolis, help and then ask keywords. You now have hired Samael and will receive the Enter the Necropolis task and journal entry. Exit out of Ardoris when you are ready to proceed. Part 5 - The Necropolis On the Overworld Map turn west and follow the road there. At the top of your screen, you will see a blue compass marker on your compass with a marker for the Necropolis Barrens as you get closer to it. Proceed to that location and enter the default entrance. When you enter, feel free to speak to the Ancient Traveler (optional). He will let you know to follow the signs here. Near him you will see a sign labeled "This Way" so follow that. Continue to follow the path of signs and exit out of the cavern. It will lead to a stairway and a large door. You will see both Kardan and Samael. Speak to Samael then click Goodbye. Enter the Necropolis task clears. Receive Explore the Necropolis task and journal entry. Enter the door marked Passage to Necropolis. There is no map for this scene. Make sure you do not have any AOE effects on your character that do damage, like Immolation. When you enter you will see Samael. Speak to him or wait. He will then be in your party. Feel free to speak to any of the ghosts and other NPC's that are in here. To continue, follow the hallway North until you get to some spikes coming up from the floor. Spoiler: How to safely walk through spike traps As you go through many of the various dungeons in New Brittania, you are going to come across many of these floor spike traps. There IS however a way to safely walk through them: Stand close (do not touch them) to the floor spike trap. Wait and watch until the spikes move up ALL the way to the top. As the spikes go DOWN you now can run across them, but you need to hurry! Once the spikes go all the way down, they now will go UP. If you are on the spike trap while the spikes are going up, you will be stunned and take damage. After you cross the spike trap STOP before entering the room. Right click on Samael's name on your screen to the left and select Set Disposition to Aggressive. This is how you can control Samael's combat actions (Defensive, Aggressive or Passive). Now fully prepare yourself for a battle with various Skeletons. And enter the room. After the battle, again make sure to remove any AOE damage spells on your character (like Immolation). To the North you will see 2 skeletons named Guardian of the Necropolis. Enter the door north by them. And keep following the path until you see a creature named Undead Lord of Necropolis. And then speak to them. They will give their name Nyx. Click the Mother and anapa keywords. Click Goodbye. There's no quest marker to next task in compass. Turn Northwest and keep making your way. You will eventually come across a bridge and various brown spiders will attack you. Continue on until you find a long hallway marked Main Chamber in your compass. Stop and buff yourself up and prepare to fight. Keep going north and kill the various skeletons. Continue North and find a closed gate. Again, make sure you have no AOE damaging spells on. Click the gate. Speak to the creature also named Undead Lord of Necropolis. They will give their name as Thanatos. Click the dead and why keywords. Receive Explore the ruins of Midras task and quest. Samael is now removed from the party and the summoning whistle for him is removed. Click the gift keyword at the bottom of the dialogue window. Click Goodbye. Speak to Samael. Learn some more info. Click Goodbye. Turn East and follow the stairs up. Then turn north and follow the path there. You will eventually get to a dead end and a hole in the ground with timber. Carefully drop down this hole until you land all the way down. Follow the path until you find a ladder leading up, and to the north is a doorway. The door north will take you to the PvP scene Midras Ruins. On the left of your screen, move your mouse over the task Explore the ruins of Midras and click on it. It will open your journal entry to that exact quest. Unfortunately, all of the text within this journal entry is completely incorrect. What you are actually needing to do, is find the Crypt of the Avatar and explore that, which will lead you to the next step along this. There isn't anything to be found in the Ruins of Midras (that I am aware of or ever could find). Only the entrance to the Crypt of the Avatar, which is specifically the next step. You can now enter the Midras Ruins PvP zone, or use the various Passages that will take us to the actual area we are trying to find (Crypt of the Avtar). Feel free to enter the Midras Ruins PvP zone and find the Crypt of the Avtar entrance in there. I will however proceed using the underground network of Passages. This will completely avoid having to go to any PvP area. Click on the ladder labeled Novia. And you will now arrive on the Overland Map. Part 6 - Find the Crypt of the Avatar There is no quest marker for Kiln. We now need to head to the town of Kiln. This city has one of the various entrances to the Underground network. Enter Kiln. Follow the road south west. This will lead you to a building with an entrance to the Kiln Cistern. There will also be a Concerned Citizen near by waving his hands. Feel free to talk to them to receive an optional side quest. Click the ladder in the building labeled Kiln Cistern and enter it. Many of the various passages are locked behind doors that require keys. We now need to find one of these keys. We need to find the Kiln Cistern to Midmaer Passage Key which can be found on a Raging Water Elemental. Many of the various passages and keys are actually located on the wiki, in case you want to remember what you need to kill to find another key, for example the Kiln entry https://sotawiki.net/sota/Kiln_Cistern. The Kiln Cistern currently has no map. No quest marker for the Midmaer Passage was present. After you enter, go West, then North then turn west. We need to flood the floor to the north. Go west, turn north, then turn south. You will see a red wheel labeled Change Water Depth. Click that. There are 3 areas the Raging Water Elemental can appear. We will unlock all 3 areas they can randomly appear in. Of note there are Roaring and Raging Water Elementals. Each one drops a different passage key. We need the Raging Water Elemental. Head back west and turn North to a locked door. Turn west. You will see a torch on the wall. Get all your buffs on and make sure you have lots of fire damage skills like Immolate, Fire Arrow, fireball, and click on the torch and a door opens. Go inside. This is one of the 3 rooms the Raging Water Elemental can appear randomly. If you did find a Raging Water Elemental, loot them to find a Kiln Cistern to Midmaer Passage Key. Head back south and east to the large room. You will now see that water has flooded this lower area. Jump in the now flooded area and head north and click the ladder to the north. Turn east and follow that passage to the end and see a switch. Click the switch. The door to the south will unlock. Go all the way south and see a locked door. This is the door we are trying to unlock. It requires the Kiln Cistern to Midmaer Passage Key. If you still have not found this key yet, keep reading for the 2 other locations to find the elemental. From the locked door, now turn back north and follow that to the passage to the east. This is the second room a Raging Water Elemental can randomly appear in. Go in and kill the water elementals in the east room. If you still haven't found a Raging Water Elemental, head out of the room and turn north then go west. Turn north and west again. Follow the passage to the north, this is the 3rd room the Raging Water Elemental can randomly appear in. Kill the elementals. You should have this key by now by going to all 3 of these locations. Once you have found the Kiln Cistern to Midmaer Passage Key, head back to the locked door. Find the area on the door marked Key Hole and click on it. Wait for the key turning animation in the lock to finish then click on the DOOR. The door will unlock. Enter and turn east then go south. You will now head off to the Midmaer Passage! The Midmaer Passage currently has no map. No quest marker for the Crupt of the Avatar was present. In the Midmaer Passage you will only need to deal with Slimes (that divide up as you kill them) and Earth Elementals. Fire skills like Immolation work fine for the Slimes. After you arrive. Buff up and head south. You will see slimes and usually an earth elemental here. Kill them. Continue up the passage to the southeast. Then follow the path to the south where there seems to be a dead end. If you hover your mouse over the wall here, you will see the pointer be green. This indicates a breakable wall. Click on it several times to clear it. Then enter the room. You will now see a ladder labeled Entrance to a nondescript crypt. Click on that. You will now arrive in the Crypt of the Avatar! The actual location we need to visit... Part 7 - Inside the Crypt of the Avatar The Crypt of the Avatar currently has no map. No quest markers are present on the compass. Continue north and turn east. Samael will then speak to you. Click the ready keyword and he will be in your party and you receive a summing whistle for him. Head down the steps to the south, and speak to the Guardian of Midras. He will give his name as Miles Shepherd. Click the avatar, titans, blade, Obsidian War, false history, Drachvald, Anapa, miracule, then Malice keywords. Samael tells you he wants you to speak to him now. Receive new task Speak to Samael. Click Goodbye. Speak now to Samael. Task Explore the ruins of Midras clears. Receive Meet Samael in Brookside and Speak with Samael in Spite task and journal entry. Of note, Samael does tell you farewell for now, but will continue to be in your party while here. Also of note, the summing whistle he gives you, Summon Samael in the Crypt, has a description that sates he will not follow you deeper into the crypt. Except that he will... Feel free to speak to the Warmaiden of Midras to read about some more lore. There is now an Optional side quest you can do if you wish. Speak to Miles Shepherd and click the help, Eris and find something keyword. Read the journal entry for Get Report for Eris for more information. And do feel free to complete that. It is not however necessary for the main quest, this is only an optional side quest. Exit the Crypt of the Avatar however you wish (back to the passage, the Ruins of Midras or use a recall or teleport to zone scroll). There are now 2 tasks on your screen: Meet Samael in Brookside and Speak with Samael in Spite The task and journal entry Speak with Samael in Spite should probably not even be shown or given at all at this point, because you MUST do the next step with the ring. Part 8 - Brookside and The Ring We now need to go to Brookside. If you need help finding Brookside on the Overland map, use the https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/map/ to find where it is, or when on the overland map, look for the location in your map by scrolling the map around. You will see a marker on your compass and map to Brookside. Head there. Enter Brookside. At the top of your screen in the compass, you will have a blue marker named Healer and the task Meet Samael in Brookside. Follow this marker (you can also see this marker on your map as well) and go to Samael. He will be in a graveyard. Speak to Samael. He will either immediately have a keepsake keyword or click on the various keywords if you would like to learn more about him and his family. If you do not see the keepsake keyword at the bottom of the dialogue window, just click goodbye and then speak to him again till he does. Click the keepsake keyword. Receive Repair Samael's Ring task and journal entry. Receive Samael's Damaged Ring of Remembrance quest item. Now exit Brookside. On the Overland Map, turn west and go in that direction following the roads. There are no blue markers for the next area. We need to get near the town of Port Graff, then take the Ferry to Graff Island there to the small island, which will have the town of Graff Island. Enter Graff Island. When you enter Graff Island there will be no map, and there won't be any blue marker for the next step of this quest on your compass. There is however a marker in your compass at the top of your screen labeled Town Crier. Head toward that person. When you arrive at the Graff Island Town Crier, you will see a building to the west. Enter the building west. You will see a Wealthy Merchant. Speak to them. They will give you their name as Lauran Graff. Give them your name if you wish. Click the ring keyword at the bottom of the dialogue window. Give them the Samael's Damaged Ring of Remembrance. Task Repair Samael's Ring clears. Receive Return Samael's Ring task and journal entry. Receive Samael's Restored Ring of Remembrance quest item. We are now ready to go to the town of Spite. Exit Graff Island to the overland map and take the Ferry to Port Graff. Follow the road East and then turn north east toward the town of Spite. You will not see a blue marker to this location on the compass. Enter Spite. Part 9 - Spite When you enter Spite, there wont be any marker to Samael in your compass. There is however a compass marker to the Town Crier to the north on your compass. Head towards them. At the Spite Town Crier, turn south to see a building. A sign outside the door will have the name Tavern. Enter the tavern, and speak to Samael inside. He will ask for the Samael's Restored Ring of Remembrance and then hand that to him. Then click the problem and Malice keywords. Speak With Samael in Spite and Return Samael's Ring task clears. Receive Learn how to Enter Malice task and journal entry. Optional. Speak to the Sorceress behind Samael for some fun back story and an amusing dialogue between Samael and the Sorceress... To the right of Samael will be a bald man already named Yama standing there. A blue compass marker to him will be in your compass and map as well. Speak to them. Click the malice and then dead keyword. Learn how to Enter Malice task clears. Receive Travel to Malice with Charon task and journal entry. Click Goodbye. Exit the tavern. At the top of your compass and on your map, you will see a blue marker named Ferryman to the north. The next series of tasks is going to be a rather long series of events that may take you a while to complete as well as a rather dangerous battle. Before speaking to Charon, make sure you are completely ready for this, and have the time to do so. If you are not ready yet, feel free to leave and just return to them when you are ready! When you are ready, speak to the Ferryman. Click the Travel to Malice keyword. Then click I am ready. Travel to Malice with Charon task clears. Receive Talk to Yama Outide Malice task and journal entry. Arrive at Shores of Malice. You will see a blue marker for Yama in your compass to the east. Go and speak to Yama. Click the Far Gate keyword. Talk to Yama Outide Malice task clears. Receive Find Samael in Malice task and journal entry. Receive Malice Far Gate Key quest item. Click Goodbye. Go to the large skull with the door. Open the door and walk in. You will then arrive in Malice. After you arrive in Malice. Buff up as you will encounter a few spiders on your way to meet Samael. Just continue on forward. Once you reach a door, open it and go inside. Go north and find Samuel and a Spirit of Regret. Speak to Samael, who is rather upset.... Receive Restore Samuel's Hope task and journal entry. Unfortunately a rather long conversation happens and you will only see the bottom half of it. Just scroll up the text to read the full conversion between Samael and the Spirit. Click Goodbye. Now speak to the Spirit which is now name Muriel. At the bottom of the dialogue window click the samael, dead, undead and anapa keywords. Then click Goodbye. Speak to Samael again. Click the prisoner, let her go, leave, let her go, dead, let her go keywords. Click Goodbye. He will now be in your party. Restore Samuel's Hope task clears. Receive Find Sequanna! task and journal entry. No blue marker is present in compass to Sequanna. (I wasn't able to figure out this exact sequence. This might actually be random every time?). Look in your inventory for a yellow item named Summon Sammael in Malice. Select this item and drag it to your hotbar, incase we need to use this. You may need to use that in case you happen to die or he dies. Turn west then turn north. There will be a door and open it. You will see stairs leading down. This is the path we need to go. Fully buff up and get ready. Right click on Samael's name and click the Set Disposition to Aggressive and continue on north. Continue on killing things until you reach a green barrier. Move near the barrier until you receive Deactivate Magical Barrier task and journal entry. Turn around and see a skeleton laying on the ground. Go out of combat mode and click on the skeleton. You will find one of the 3 gems needed to remove the barrier and take it (the Gem of Loving Compassion). Head up the stairs and turn west. Buff and get ready to fight more. Follow the path to a room, and kill everything. Go out of combat mode. On a table, you will see a skeleton with a hat on. Click on the skeleton and grab the gem. You will find the second gem, The Gem of Loving Sacrifice. Exit the room and head to the last passage to the east and go upstairs. Kill all the undead in here. Go out of combat mode and see the skeleton sitting in a chair. Click on it and take the Gem of Loving Justice. You will now get a message the barrier has cleared. Head back to where the green barrier was. Continue on forward now and continue to kill the various undead. The Task Deactivate Magical Barrier will clear. Receive Defeat Anapa! task and journal entry. You will eventually find a hallway and some stair up. Go up the stairs and then turn East, then North then west. And then turn north. You will see a room with a large figure standing before you. This is where Anapa is... All of the creatures in the room will not be hostile but are neutral if attacked. Having AOE spells on like Immolation will cause them to become hostile and will attack you. Anapa will not be hostile to you until you attack or anger him, or kill some of the creatures here near him. How you decide to approach this, I will leave up to you... Go out of combat mode and have no AOE spells active like Immolation and head towards Anapa. You will note when you move the mouse over him the mouse will be grey. This means this NPC is neutral. Speak to him. At the bottom of the dialogue window, you will see various keywords in white. Keep clicking on all of them to learn quite a bit. As you click each one, it will anger him (See the text Anapa's anger is growing). After clicking on all of these keywords, he is not angered yet. You will have to keep clicking on keywords you have already spoken about. Keep doing that till he is angered, or feel free to click goodbye and attack him, since now you know all you can from him... If you die in this battle (and that's ok! This is a rather tough battle if this is your first time. I did!). You will now be a ghost. Proceed South, west, south, east, and out of the hallway to the south. Continue on to the cavern and you will see a glowing Ankh. Stand next to it and be resurrected. Samuel will not be in your party so you will need to summon him. Click the Summon Companion on your hotbat to summon Samael again. He will now join your party. Head back to the room with Anapa and try again, until you can defeat him. When you return, the creatures will be non hostile again. Just start killing them. If you do decide this fight is just too difficult for you that's ok too! Just leave this scene, and you can come back to it another time! If you decide to leave and come back here again: YOU WILL HAVE TO ENTER HERE AGAIN ONLY BY GOING TO THE TOWN OF SPITE AND SPEAKING TO CHARON (click the Travel to Malice and then I am Ready keywords). Then head back inside Malice. Head back to the stairway that leads down. Also you will have to use the summoning whistle and summon Samael. You will need to fight the various undead as you make your way to Anapa. Also the green barrier will clear when you get near it (because you already have the 3 gems for it). Make your way back to the building that leads to Anapa. THERE WILL NOW BE A GREEN BARRIER THAT WILL BLOCK YOU. Speak to Samael, this barrier will now be removed. Now proceed toward Anapa. Revenge time! This is the only way to go back to the actual Quest Version of the scene with Anapa. You MUST follow the above instructions or you will not be in the correct scene! Part 10 - Rescue Sequanna! After Anapa is defeated (task Defeat Anapa! will clear), make sure that Samael is with you (he MUST be with you for the nex part). Head to the north entrance to the back of this room and continue forward. You will now see Sequanna. Speak to her. Click the weep/regret, dead, chain, love and heart/heart of sorrow keyword. Find Sequanna! Task clears. Receive Speak with Samael task and journal entry. Click goodbye. Speak to Samael. Click the ring keyword. A very long text sequence will happen. You will have to scroll up to see it all, then click the ready keyword. Click Goodbye. Speak with Samael task clears. Receive Give Sequanna Samael's Ring task and journal entry. Receive Samael's Ring of Remembrance quest item. Speak to Sequanna. She will ask for Samael's Ring of Remembrance. Give that to her. Give Sequanna Samael's Ring task clears. You gain a large amount of XP and receive the Heart of Sorrows quest item (one of 3 Dead Artifacts). Speak to Sequanna. Click the next steps keyword. She will give you further advice on how to proceed. Turn east and head toward the large black crystal there. A portal will appear in front of it named Sequanna's Rift. Enter it to leave this area. And that it is! You have fully completed the The Episode 1 Main Quest - The Path of Love section! There is one more thing you can do: Now that you have the Heart of Sorrows artifact, go to any Oracle Confirmatory and speak to the Oracle. She will know you have the Heart of Sorrows and hand you an item: Tear of Sorrow. She will also tell you the words of power needed to activate the Heart of Sorrows, when you have it equipped: Wast Ylem Gaus Zephyr Presti Obix Hex. She will only give you this Tear one time for free.
