The gorget! Why is my neck nakked?

    So, I love running around in plate armor, and can't help but notice that there is an annoyingly open spot to one of my most vital areas! My neck!

    Where is the gorget? Lets got some more protection, Please!!

    Isn't a Gorget required inorder to feel like you can make a decent item on in the upper levels of armor crafting ? :p

    Actually I'd love to see leather neck armor as well! Keeps the crit hits down. Quite an interesting bit of American history - against opponents with scimitars in Tripoli during the First Barbary War and later against the nasty machetes in the Philippine-American war. It's my understanding that while boarding an enemy ship via gangplank, one's neck is ripe for decapitation.

    Yes, I would like for neck armor to be a little extra armor or I really like your idea about reducing crits. I wish I had double thumbs up for your idea about reducing crits with neck armor (neck armor only, not non-armor neck pieces).

    It does not need to be a necessary armor piece for a set of armor to use the Armor skills. Allow players to choose between neck armor, necklaces with appropriate "magical" buffs but no armor stats, or torcs (give even better non-armor "magical" buffs but also give a penalty).

    Just my two worthless cents... not if both have stats. I would like to see the neck "piece" be an armor-capable slot where a player makes a choice between options. If the amulet is purely aesthetic, then I would think that is fine if the Developers are willing to code all those layers of clothing (otherwise, what is point of aesthetics?).

    Yes, we need gorgets! The last thing I want is for an assassin to sneak up behind me and slit my unprotected throat or having some skilled archer fire an arrow through it :eek:
