Added the Smelting Table Crafting Guide which shows you how to cast molds of 17 different items. If you are struggling with crafting in R2 this video should give you a better feel for how the system works.

The biggest road block that I think people are not understanding, it took me watching your video to understand and needs to be emphasized:

You must have exact amounts on the table for the craft button to light. I find this to be a headache because in every game that I have played with crafting, the machines allowed for multiple stacks of items in your inventory. If the table only needs 1, it should take it from the stack of 10 and make 1 unit's worth. This "splitting" every time you want to make something is for the birds.

    Thanks for the video!

    Thanks @Margard!

I agree @pclabtech. I expected quantity and proportion to be important in crafting but it wasn't clear how to get a select amount of a particular resource off the stack at first. Once I discovered that shift and control could be used to select many or one item (respectively), the next problem was that I couldn't craft in bulk (i.e. throw 20 Logs on the milling table to cut them into the appropriate amount of boards).

It were those points I wanted to communicate to the community so they could get right to experimenting and not suffer through the R2 Crafting UI learning curve.

I wouldn't worry about the current implementation. What we got to play with is an early prototype. It will certainly be refined and improved upon and I would bet that by release day, SOTA will have the best crafting system the gaming world has ever seen. I say that because this is a team comprised of not only industry veterans, but gamers. If the issues are obvious to you and me, it's more than obvious to them.

Dear Themadhermit hello. My name is Vitaly Zav'yalov. I am impressed with the work that you have done in your videos. I would like to bring it to the Russian-speaking fans "Sota". Can I use your video for this with my text? And how many difficulties will make you what you said to make written for translation. I'm not the best expert English and translated directly from the video for me is problematic. Supporters also know English well I have not met. Thanks for your work.

@zavb9lov Thanks for your kind words. Give me a few days to look into this and see what I could do.

Added the Loom Table Crafting Guide. Embedding it here because I am unable to add more then 5 videos to a post. Would prefer to have it added to the top of this post with the rest of the videos so people don't have to look all over the place but alas, there is a 5 embed limit per post. :(

Update: @Dallas & @Lum were kind enough to remove this restriction. Video has been moved to the top (in the original post).
