    SNEAK PEEK: BRITTANY FIELDS

    So you didn't get the lot you always wanted in Brittany (Central)?

    Fret not Avatar, as we have started work on the first of four neighborhood areas that will surround Central Brittany. The first of which will be called Brittany Fields and will be located to the Southwest of Central Brittany.

    It is an agricultural/pastoral area filled with fertile crops and little streams/gullies crisscrossing its length.

    From here we can appreciate a view of Brittany Castle off in the distance. A short walk away from Central Brittany, Brittany Fields offers a peaceful wind-down from the hustle and bustle of the city.

    It would be cool if those were the houses we did see in-game once it's live :)

    It would be appropriate to see a high level of village type housing out here I think - I did expect more density of town and above in Central, and found the harbour a bit funny in that there was only room for one Baron Boat - perhaps a couple more out a ways in the harbour?

    Possibly a Duke Island Castle? :p

    Thanks for the update - I like the LOD on the castle and look forward to more (colourful!) shots in the future :)

    Do you know if we will see all regions of Brittany for the next release?

    Things I expect to see in Brittany Fields (or else!),

    - A peasant's tavern, rowdier than the tavern for city folk,
    - An old story-teller (not some fancy city bard) in the tavern,
    - An inn for passing travelers,
    - Farmers actually shown working fields with their ploughs,
    - Farmers pulling carts from the fields,
    - NPCs fishing from the streams,
    - Gaggles of geese ambling along the dirt roads -- put geese in the game, I say!
    - Cows gathering around that big tree for shade, as cows are liable to do,
    - An NPC hen house,
    - Roosters annoying people in the mornings,
    - A fox occasionally sneaking into the hen house to mix things up,
    - Rabbits occasionally appearing in gardens and farms to look for bites to eat,
    - A rabbit warrener,
    - Frogs in the stream,
    - NPC children trying to catch frogs and chase after geese,
    - NPC owned fruit trees,

    Flowering azalea bushes or something that hints at similar colors seen in more full bloom in Britannia central might be a nice touch.

    I like the carrot patch and the small field of sunflowers. More agriculture! Vinyards even!

    This looks great, but much like Owl's Head it will stop looking great the moment players move all their junk and odd housing into the scene.

    I think this is a great use case for exploring some type of exclusionary measures that keep giant balloons and multiple light houses from being added. It really looks great with small housing, not so good with Obsidian Towers. :)

    Speaking of which, I hope someday POT owners will be able to automatically remove housing options from acceptable. A default option is much better than having to actively manage that.

    Looking good, great job. I'm wondering will one part of Brittany be an area with just Castles and Keeps, a very affluent part that house the nobles? I don't have a castle or keep pledge, but think it would be nice to have one part of Brittany decicated to and full of the keep/castle lots. :) Keep up the good work! :)

    Think he was asking for an automated system where he can have like a check box of home styles allowed.

    I think its a decent idea, but can lead to some issues where u could say "only kobold/obsidian homes"
    Then the only people that could live in your town would be people that could afford to buy those from the store as u cant get them anywhere else.
