    LORE Brittany Outlander Graveyard:

The Avatars now flooding the land are not the first Outlanders who have visited Novia. An earlier wave of Outlanders appeared in Novia, but did not share the immortality of the current visitors. When they eventually met their demise, they were interred in this massive graveyard on the outskirts of Brittany where most had made their homes. Most Outlanders were buried in this separate graveyard from other Novians due to the inherent distrust most Novians harbor towards Outlanders. In a future release, these gravestones will contain the names that Ancestor and above backers choose to represent their “ancestors”, but for now these gravestones are blank.

Inspiration for the Brittany Graveyard was heavily drawn upon from the Arlington National Cemetery.
Chatting with Art Lead @Hutch we came to the idea that we wanted this to be a place of honor, a place to honor those who have fallen.

Placing 5000 tombstone was no quick task, well at first. Through the use of a tool created by Tech Director @Chris we were able to speed up the process and snap the tombs to terrain level.

The winding paths through perfectly aligned tombstones and little gardens nestled between tall oaks provide a serene experience.

I wondered about that. The thought of some poor bastard having to individually adjust the height of each tombstone to match the terrain underneath had me concerned for the sanity of the artist. Kudos to Chris for coming to the rescue!

    The graveyard is spectacular!

I feel bad for whoever has to rename all these things.

This place is wonderful, my favorite scene. Instantly reminded me of Arlington Cemetery.

Will be quite the hunt to find our name on one of 5000 gravestones.

Would require a groundsman to whom you give the deceased name and guides you just like finding a plot.

I wonder if we'll have a word limit? Can we request whether the name is in runic or english? Can we put a little motto or poem for an epitaph? I'm quite excited about this. It really does look good, but I hope it will have some grounds keepers.

    Great job!

However I ran through the place and found some markers that did not snap to ground level. Some are buried 1/2, others 3/4.

A wonderful scene, and beautifully done. It did absolutely remind me of Arlington, and I have only seen it on TV.
Kudos to the team for another great achievement!

Oh, it would be awesome if all the zombies rising from the graves were named after our ancestors! :D wow! great idea!!

These are known to be outlanders.. I'd think more than just a few necromancers would be interested in potential power lying beneath this mass grave site. Who wants to raise an army of 5,000 outlander undead?? Do I need a special 'Black Cauldron' perhaps?

I MUST go there now! That might be the coolest looking zone I've ever seen in any RPG ever.

Hmm. Is there anything there to do? I mean it looks really cool but if all the scene provides is cool looks, then everyone are going to visit there once, but not much more.
Hoping there is some other POI than the graves.
