Looks great Steve. Hopefully somewhere deep under that large hill are a sewer system or some catacombs (if not a hundred basements).

    Thank-you!

Love the opulence - I hope the rest of Brittany gets the same deco treatment (not opulent but rooms that feel loved in) looking forward to the rest of Brittany!

*Edit - rooms that feel lived in. Ha.

Thank you for these pictures of Brittany Castle, SorcerousSteve.

This place is full of fantastic detail and new goodies from the bell tower in the Lower Courtyard to the huge antlers in the Dining Room. The dressing of the rooms is fantastic and the feeling of space and height inside the structure while keeping the architecture "real" are things I want to go study ASAP. I hope we all get a key to go inside it soon.

/whistles. Very nice. Once the shadows/shading is in, that castle will be a sight to behold.

Looks so good! Now the only thing IMO that would complete this is a schedule.. All those ships you see are actually coming into and moving out of the port, with npcs moving and stacking crates on the dock!

I can't wait to start moving boxes, vases and bookcases to reveal switches to gain access to the secret weapons cache on the roof of the castle! :p

Steve, these look awesome! I'm with redfish on the pennants... they give it a nice regal feeling. :D

    ~Honest Opinion - Constructive Criticism
I love just about everything in these screenshots except for one thing. I don't mean to nit pick, but the wooden staircases and ceilings seem out of place for a "castle" IMO. I would expect them to be stone or some type of masonry instead of wooden boards and beams. Some of those stone pillars don't seem to mesh well with the wood ceilings either.

Other than that, I love all the details put into the room settings and such. Also looking forward to finding the secret doors and what not.

I think the choice to make the 4th floor wood was quite an interesting touch. Good inclusion of pillars throughout most of the floors. I was worried about the dining hall's lack of support pillars, but I think that's partly why you felt the library floor needed to be made of lighter wood? Even so, no support pillars should lead to an 'archway' design, which doesn't seem to be the case.. I'm a little concerned with that.. It might need at least one central pillar, possibly near the stairway and the crossbeams. It does seem odd having so many stone pillars on the wooden 4th floor, but no pillars at all supporting the weight of all the 4th floor from the 3rd floor.

That said, it's just from observing screenshots. It may feel/look different given more insight/perspectives within the game.

Beautiful work! And thank you so much for the sneak peak! ;-D

I think it is fairly common for multilevel structures like that to have wooden upper floors as it is architecturally difficult to build a structure such as that which is fully made of stone (and not buttressed). Plus, pillars in certain sections would not be required if the heavy timber construction of the roof beams are sufficient. [Pulling from what I learned from back in the days I was a firefighter. Our instructor was a nut for construction techniques.]

    CITY OF BRITTANY LAYOUT

Hey guys, SorcerousSteve here to give you an update on the City of Brittany!

As Brittany approaches its final stages, I have compiled a map with all the current player lot locations and interesting locations you will find in the city. In designing Brittany I wanted every section of the city to feel unique, below you'll see names of neighborhoods and streets that not only give an identity to the different sectors but I hope will help you guys, the players in establishing your homes and identifying with specific areas.
