    Hey guys, once again its SorcerousSteve and I’m going to give you a sneak peak at the upcoming City of Aerie!

    Aerie is situated on the tip of the Longfall Penninsula, surrounded by prairies and swamps. It is the City of Truth, a scholarly place, rich in trade, and heavily reliant on wind power.

    Inspiration for Aerie has come from chatting with Richard and other Devs about the strategic and geographical importance of coastal cities.

    Current Layout of North & Central Aerie. Different areas of the city will have a distinct "feel" in representation of the inhabitant's social class.

    So how many lots of each type is planned for it?

    Bit worried about the towers of the castle having it grow wider the higher up you gets tends to make towers unstable

    Sweet! I like additional touches like this. I wonder if there will be any restrictions on who can own homes in the "affluent" area? Speaking of player homes, I hope there's going to be a balanced mix of player housing and NPC housing (given the # of expected NPCs here).

    Good question. I wondered that as well, considering Owl's Head only has one to protect the entire town and Aerie seems just as big but we might not be seeing the whole thing.

    Perhaps, it's just because it's not complete yet. Aside from the castle it looks similar to other towns, and flat throughout the city except the hill the castle is on. Maybe it's because all the shops and other assets are the same as the ones in other cities. I look forward to seeing more screenshots and progress on it. :) Keep up the good work. :)

    Awesome! The city of Aerie is looking cool! When I was in the Army, I got deployed to Honduras for 3 months, in the Cape de Trujillo. That was where Blackbeard actually built his pirate fort to fight off the European naval ships. When Esteben was roughing out the terrain last week, I showed him in detail how the landmass in that cape created a natural advantage for the fort. Very cool that Esteben included that in the post:)

    Last time we covered Castle Aerie and the Northern City Entrance, today we will be discovering other sectors of the city.

    The Eastern City Entrance to Aerie, featuring Castle Aerie in the background alongside the many windmills that help power the homes of Aerie, directing your attention to the upper left you can catch a glimpse of the galleons docked at the Port.

    The Port of Aerie, a hub for commerce and trade, the largest port this side of the Blackblade Mountains.

    The Warehouse District/Slums of Aerie, home to some of the hardworking peasant class some of which can barely afford to put a roof over their heads. The other side of the spectrum compared to Aerie's most northern and affluent district on the shadows of Castle Aerie.
