The Making of Lost Whiteguard Silver Mine

Hey folks, I have some screenshots to share of the upcoming Tier 2 mine, Lost Whiteguard Silver Mine. This will be one of three low level mines that are planned for this release.

This mine was once a primary supplier to local military units. After a collapse, it hasn't been used in decades. Its recently been unearthed by Ebon Dawn humans.

It will have both iron and silver. Perhaps some copper as well.

Looks great Chris. Love how everything looks damp and wet. That one touch gives it a realistic look.

Can't wait to see what kind of baddies get spawned down there.

Can you give us a hint as to where this zone might appear on the overworld map?

More likely... High end players will use it as an exploit.

To prevent that... instanced zones need to level scale (up only though).

 

Tier two are less XP, don't give the extra material like tungsten, and generally have fewer ores. Why bother?

 

Exactly. I'm not wasting my time 'exploiting' a lower tier mine if I can survive one that will get me greater yield and more XP.

Still, lower tier mines are really needed. It's very frustrating as a crafter/harvester to have to be at least level 40-50 before you can even consider any real serious mining. Now 'young' miners can have some progression.

 

Whiteguard Foothills is SW of Solace Bridge and the names match.

 

I do hope that one of these is an Olde Haunted Gold Mine, where you might stumble upon a group of meddlesome kids and their dog!

 

Ok, that sounds reasonable to me. Guess I should have thought about searching the map for Whiteguard to find it myself.

Assuming this is correct, then I guess there will be an uncloning or modification to the Whiteguard Foothills map then too (since currently there is no mine entrance in there)?

 

We have seen this problem within our guild as well.

 

I am delighted we are finally gearing a few areas for lower leveled characters. The Outskirts and now Mines......Love it. This will truly help our newer players and keep them coming back.

yes I hope this is a mine. I have been around a long time and I am not really lower leveled but I have to say mining is not much fun in this game or beneficial. I spent 2 hours in Etceter mine fighting. I came away with 29 gold ore and almost countless deaths. In the first part of that mine there is absolutely not one piece of ore. You must break down walls to find the small amounts of ore and let loose a lot of creatures and then while killing those creatures you are bombarded with many other creatures that have all respawned. I will not be doing much mining alone and my blacksmithing will not get done for now. Ok a bit of a rant but I won't be the only one who complains they cannot mine in Etceter mine and it is totally not a fun factor yikes.

 

Really? In Etceter I like to farm the first area both sides, because I get a lot of gold and a bit of iron... usually making about 160G to 30iron an hour. I've used to play with you bit.... is this on Majoria or a new character? Because Maj is a beast. I mean I literally did this earlier this week?
