Hey folks, today I'm going to share what I've been working on this week. These are some screenshots of the upcoming Canyon Bridge Siege Map. In this scenario, enemies have seized a deteriorated bridge which was previously under construction, and have set up a war camp from which they can lay siege to a nearby town.

Looks beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing more siege mechanics in place (assuming what is game so far is not complete?)

Maybe a spit or cooking pot over the fire? :) Perhaps a wagon or two for the bad guys to move their camp around with tucked away somewhere.. ?

Looks great :) Some of the crates or barrels on the bridge could contain explosive material which can destroy sections of the bridge if ignited, sending friends and foes into the river below....o_O Just a thought...

    Nice, I like the bridge.

Looks like the center of the bridge is designed to be destroyed. :)

Seems like a great scenario but it also seems very specific for use in one or two areas of the map. It makes me wonder if it will seem plausible should it appear more than that? For example, we wouldn't have this randomly appear near Ardoris, correct?

Also, are there any side effects from blowing up the bridge? Like could you win the battle by removing the siege but lose the war by knocking out the bridge and effectively creating a new problem for the town that was under siege? Seems like there's a lot of opportunities here for multiple outcomes (and virtue choices).

    Cool stuff!

    As always @Sea-Wolf great work.

Is there a link to a forum post that explains how the sieges are going to work and a discussion?

Yes, This makes me wonder how sieges will work. I would think that the Obsidians will be mounting a attack on many of the cities and the surrounding area should be the same all the time. The battling forces are what change.

I love this idea, but it might be impossible to achieve with our baked nav-mesh system (unless you don't mind floating enemies!). I will ask some people who might know how to work around it.

Perhaps we could have a wandering healer in the defenders' camp. Would heal and ressurect...

The water spray looks pretty good, and oy those rocky terrain looks as though there be some rich mineral veins nearby.
