The missing Miners Hat with Goggles Pattern Drop

Per the Release 71 Instructions:

Miners Goggles: These are now a rare pattern loot drop from Elves in Verdantis Mines.

The Elves in the Verdantis Mines do not drop any Pattern for a Miner Hat with Goggles, what they drop is an already equipable Miner Hat with Goggles. Per the Instruction, are the elves supposed to be dropping the pattern instead?

With our new pattern system changes, it would actually be very nice if the Elves there DID actually drop a pattern for that Miner Hat with Goggles, instead of the equipable item.

If you could get some time, could you possibly look into why they are not dropping an actual pattern? It's also possible something changed.

it was just poorly phrased. you have a chance to get a pattern from salvaging the drop, just like steam hammers or katanas or leather doublets or...

 

Shouldn't the drop just be the goggles and not the attached hat and goggles.

...er, no? if you want a miner's helmet, there's a virtue one and a craftable one. if you want goggles, there's a virtue one and a crown store one. if you want a helmet AND goggles, at the same time, they have to be a single component. there's only one head slot.

According to Release 71 this is listed:

• Miners Goggles: These are now a rare pattern loot drop from Elves in Verdantis Mines.

So the question remains - where are the "Miner's Goggles" that are supposed to drop from Elves in Verdantis Mines? Not a helmet, not a crownstore/virtue set, not a "helmet AND goggles." JUST, as it said on the R71 notes, plain old Miner's Goggles.

According to @Anpu what is currently dropping is NOT Miner's Goggles. If something has changed, then that's a horse of a different color

 

it was never just a set of goggles. it was poorly phrased. i'm pretty sure anpu was asking about the item itself vs the pattern dropping directly, not what the item looks like.
