    Dear pvp'er

    The game is consensual, we won. You will never see us outside city walls. I know a lot of us threaten to quit if it wasn't our way, I would have settled with non consensual and harsh penalties. but hey, no negotiations, we win.

    Are you actually 12 years old or just acting like one? Either way it sounds like you want to take your ball and go home. If so you're not doing it fast enough.

    I don't read it as baiting the PvP crowd - I read it as whining that there is no non-consensual PvP.

    Only if it's incredibly ironic. It's addressed "dear PvP'ers," and it goes on to say "we won.... the game is consensual."

    If it is ironic, then someone needs to work on their sarcasm, it's.... not good.

    How is this "there is no non-consensual" pvp defined? I mean, if the OP defines it as "you will never see us outside city walls" does that mean hes staying in town all the time? Aren't you ever going to go questing? Perhaps he means that theres some kind of slider option that he can opt out of PvP. Fair enough if he wants that, but has the details been released that this is how PvP will be handled? What did I miss??

    Probly just glad to get the game the way he wants and is a bit upbeat about it. No need to take it so hard. Might want to note that hes got a low message count and not been here long.

    I took that into account already. It bolsters my opinion they're here just to *****.

    I'm not taking it hard at all. After all "we" won. I would have settled for this thread never existing, but hey, no negotiating. We got it twice.

    EDIT: @Bubonic true enough. Hasn't been a good afternoon. Looking forward to the turnaround.

    Silly post. From my point of view, if they even offer Open PvP, I'll figure I've won, but with Selective Multiplayer, it's not a zero sum game, unless you want something unreasonable, like non consensual PvP. In that case, the OP lost, but everyone else won.

    Most games have a system for consent which changes the dynamics of PvP.

    Consent can be faction
    Consent can be a guild war
    Consent can be location
    Consent can be performing a hostile action
    Consent can be a level range
    Consent can be a time out from a fresh kill of a zone load

    Consent can allow someone to attack at all
    Consent can allow someone to kill without a PK/murder count
    Consent can allow someone to receive points / tokens for the kill
    Consent can allow more items to be dropped / looted

    So saying "PvP is consensual" really tells you nothing. You could argue the same thing about just about any game until you get more details about what that means.
