Good point. However, I bet openGL/DX10/DX9 can be set for the Windows version as well.

    Same.

While at it, my resolution settings problem being reset at scene change (that'd be #13), is solved in R31. I can play fullscreen at 1920x1080 again (on a 4K monitor).

Between the mouse-look glitch, crashing, flashing black squares, broken guard model and camera blur/sharpening, SotA isn't a lot of fun these days. :(

Could not get past #9 using the 64-bit client, since I had no previous character saved, but luckily I could get in using the 32-bit client. Once I created my character model using the 32-bit client, I was then able to quit and resume the game using the 64-bit client.

9 is actually the same defect as 5.

Hey, I have a great idea! There's this heinous bug where you die, get thrown out of bounds and then the client crashes. Let's have everyone start as ghosts, won't that be funny?

List updated. Thanks for the feedback.

Could some of you test the issues that do not have a hyperlink for Release 31? --- That would be any of the items that do not have a link over the first several words:
    1. Avatar always stuck in walk state
    3. Stuck while in combat after using a skill _OR_ halt while casting various skills while running.
    5. Coconuts
    7. Screenshots (F11) crashes client
    13. Linux Launcher crashing on launch

If you verify the bug please report it and let me know so I can link the issue.

Also, please give 11 another go - Changing scene resets controls or video settings. Would be good to mark this one as verified resolved OR as still active.

For me, changing scene will NOT reset video settings anymore. So, #11 is solved for me. I never had control resets.

Anytime there's a new patch, I read the patch notes eagerly to see if any of the multitude of issues that are negatively affecting me have been addressed. I'm always disappointed. :(

    [edit] Build 440... :(

yeah, i don't bug things more than once anymore. too burned out on it and it's really frustrating to have chris say he's not aware of a problem i've bugged three times.

Completely understand. Someone else will do it - never know I might just login to do so. :)

I played the game quite a bit the last couple of nights and found that the overland map has the black flashing squares in the 32 bit client. I also noticed the black squares with some viewing angles in East Sanctus Forest when in the "village" area.

So much this. If they hadn't promised Linux, I'd have tossed in $5 as a "thank you for Ultima and Tabula Rasa" and gone along.
I doubt Wine will work well until this game is VERY old, which would be sad.

Also, I can confirm I get *most* of the items on that list, Ubuntu 16.04 NVidia GTX 740. I'd like to get all of them, but my char currently is getting ping-ponged around the surface map like a toy doll.

/edit: I believe my current issue is a known issue, and so probably cross-platform:
    • Novia Overworld rework has introduced various stuck spots, incorrect collision and "exit into the air" issues

    @oneandonly

Thank you so much for working on and fixing the Linux issues. :)

Note: the fixes will be in the first patch after R32.

Can't wait for the mysterious Patch, hope it's released short after R32.

    Cheers

Hope so! As of now, R32 just instantly crashes for me as soon as I create the character. I don't even get the initial graphics for the scene.
