Ok people use some logic..... Why would they do this????? What benefit to the game could there possibly be in pushing everyone to 1 zone????? The answer is none. The reality is there is no grand conspiracy on their part. The devs simply looked at the data and determined the exp people was getting here was greater than the difficulty said it should be so they changed it.

That's not even true. They didn't look at any data for XP in the rise or anything else. They looked at elves, skeletons, etc as a class, and then made changes that they feel made the 3 types of mobs better aligned with each other (melee/ranged/mage). Atos was quite clear about that when I was discussing the changes with him. But they're not even certain if the changes achieve the balance they are seeking.

Gathering exp from skinning lost it's double exp, so it's possible so did adventure exp? Anyone looked into that angle yet?

Oh, phew. You scared me. I was bored with mining for producer XP, so I've been mostly hunting and skinning.

Though, I can confirm the Rise is again too hard for me. In another ten levels I'll try it again. So, sometime next June, maybe.

Man, my whole weekend is kinda shot now. No ore in the mines, skinning only gives "half" XP, can't set foot in the Rise. Guess I'll go move some deco around or something.

Feels like we went backwards on difficulty vs. XP in the Rise for solo players. Might sit this release out. What's the next best grind path other than the Rise for soloers?

Ulfheim? I don't know. I'm not more upset about the difficulty increase than the XP nerf. The Rise was good for artifacts and bundles too.

Well, I don't think much of anything is comparable to the Rise for solo XP. Maybe the Monkey Room? I wouldn't know, I've never been able to do it.

Trouble is The Rise has been nerfed so hard I'm finding Ulfheim *is* comparable for solo XP

That's the problem with weekends right after release; a whole lot of stuff is usually broken and just ruins the weekend.

Yeah, but usually there's a bunch of new stuff to do, too. I guess dungeons, but not a lot else for new content.

I've always thought Port's Thursday release schedule was bad timing. If they published updates on a Monday or Tuesday instead, they'd have sufficient time to fix things before the weekend.

Maybe its just me, but after all this time SOTA feels like it still has a major progression gap for low-to-mid level 90s solo adventurers. The past double XP change finally made it feel that some soloable places allowed for decent-enough solo progression in the 90's. But this week's changes feel like they have undone that. I'm all for great group encounters, but I dont get why the devs allow something like Upper Tears acknowledged for its over the top XP, while nerfing the few places a soloer in a similar level range can get decent XP to have much hope of progression. It feels like a drag. I'll keep playing to see how it pans out, but I'm cutting way back on my spending on this game as a result.

Completely agree. Perhaps a while back, Thursday was fine for the large team they had then. Now with such a smaller team, it probably should move to releasing on the last Monday or Tuesday of the month.
