Welp, at least I have something to ask Stephen about tomorrow morning...

 

Ok, I was wrong.

 

What did you think it was?

 

The Sky is blue, because if it were green, we would not know where to stop mowing our lawns........

 

I got it! It's really for an office pool. Whoever guesses how many of us will answer wins.

 

Maybe its code for "Im hungry, feed me something" ....



He really should just start using Emoji's instead of cryptic words........

Ok, no new posts...no reply from Stephen...LUM, did you figure out the mystery?!?
Was it Frank! I'll bet he snuck over to Stephen's keyboard and quickly created random chaos!

 

Frank turned to Stephen and said, "I'm telling you Stephen, you could post "the sky is blue" and somebody would argue the point."
Stephen turned to his keyboard and spent a few seconds tapping on the keys.
Spinning his chair around with a flourish, Stephen smiled. "Let's see if that's true!"

And just to clarify further, the Sun is producing 'white' light, aka all the colors. And our weak little eyes move it further from the violets into the blues we perceive.

Ask the birds what color the sky is..

I for one vote for a different atmosphere and vastly different colored sunsets in New Britannia ... make it so.

 

I should have elaborated on the warm sunlight bit. Sunlight only looks warm to a color-trained eye, like that of a photographer or an artist, or someone who just has a natural talent for distinguishing colors. To many people sunlight looks white or neutral because, like you said, our brains compensate toward that end. Back in the day, when I was first learning photography, I was struck by how odd it is that so many people don't even see such a dramatic difference between sunlight, shadows, shade, fluorescent light, tungsten light, etc. as actually exists. I used to play pranks on people by setting the white balance on their cameras to 5,500K and watching them try to figure out why their indoor photos were green. (These were people who always shot on Auto.)

Ah, the good old days.

I was there. Dame Lori and myself insisted him to do it as well! Granted, it IS Stephen who posted it and EVERYBODY loves Stephen. Now if we had somebody else that brings up controversial stuff all the time to post something silly like that...

 

For me the sky is black with sparkly bits.
