For a look at the Rule of Thirds again. I know we have no control over the camera, but in the event that we ever do, just take a look at the difference it will make.

Yes, the second image is just cropped, but can you feel the difference in the gravity of the situation, the drama?

In the first image it's almost like Arabella is a child being talked to, or unimportant, simply because of the camera angle.
