Time between the "daily Oracle test quest for xp and gold"

I have done or tried doing the Oracle daily test quest a couple of days now.
A thing about this quest that I would like to comment on is the time between you have done the quest until you can do it again.

It seems like this quest is on a personal 24 hour timer.
At first I didn't think it was like this, but given when I did it yesterday and when I couldn't do it today I think there could have been like 22 to 23 hours between those attempts.
Then I had to log off and a couple of hours later when I logged in again I could do the quest.

If this is how it really is, I think it would be much better if it were changed into so that you can do the quest once per given calendar day.
No matter at what time you did it on for example on october 5th, you can do it any time you wish on october 6th.
The quest timer flag or whatever should reset its flag at midnight each day for example.

This would give players more flexibility, especially the more casual players whome I feel this quest is somewhat directed at.

I like the idea, but make sure it isn't based on local (client) time as that can be gamed pretty easily. Server time is definitely what would need to be used.

 

I agree, please make it "per calendar day".

 

Just start at 12:01 AM NBT or something.

 

A 2o hour cooldown would pretty effectively make it once a day but keep it flexible between start and end of playtime. That removes the need for tracking what a day is on the client end and/or having a fixed reset time.
An exact 24 hour cooldown makes it effectively 4-5 times a week as it'll roll later and later in the day and past playable time

It is on server time and on a 23 hour timer since the last time you took the test.

Is there any chance you might consider altering the timer?

A suggestion in this thread was to take the timer down to 20 hours.
If you don't want to switch to a "reset quest flag at 01:00 server time" way or something like that (which sounds suberb to me), changing the timer from 23 hours to 20 hours could have almost the same positive effect for the players and it might not be too difficult to implement either?

Making it once per day would be much better -
I've missed out on this several times due to not being able to play at the same times every day. It wasn't available for me until super late last night and I wont be able to play that late tonight due to work obligation in the morning, so I'll just miss out on today's.

Wouldn't that be simpler anyway, ie, "oracle reset is at xx time" rather than tracking a timer for every single user?

 

Does truthfully answering the Oracle's questions help improve our truth scores?

 

I ended up skipping a day because I once visited the Oracle around 1 a.m. and subsequently had to stay up late every day to take the test. I would rather she let me take the test every day after 12 p.m. local time.

 

Makes more sense for 1 per calendar day and no timer cool down as doing it at 11 pm and 3 am and then having to wait until 12:01 am to do it again is not different than doing it at noon 3 days in a row (but that's just my 2 cents).
