Tiny Exploit: Magical Printing Press Creates Books without Blanks (and other small things)

I placed a book into the top "ingredients" window of a magical printing press. The "craft" button lights. It creates a copy. The only problem is that I had no blank books in my inventory at all. Obviously then there wasn't one in the "ingredients" window too.

The crafting window for the printing press says you need a tool. That text needs to be removed until such time as that happens.

Also, in the "Player Inventory" window. Quest books like "Edvard's Notes on Solace Bridge" are highlighted (white) as if they are valid "ingredients" to be copied. The books I created which I can actually copy are not highlighted (gray) as if they are not valid.

 

That would be the magic part.

 

Almost as much magic as performing "IN MANI CORP" on an eighteen month old thread.

 

I was looking for printing press info and stumbled upon it, anyone else doing the same will now have the answer.

 

Hmm. I guess I'm not following how "that's the magic part" is an answer for Vyrin's bugs.

 

@LoneStranger The magic part is that you don't need a blank book to create a copy of an existing book, it's a feature not a bug.

 

I'd love to see something official, if that's true.

Edit: The reason I say that is because "resources out of nothing" that isn't gated by some kind of challenge seems to be out of character for the development.

 

Since these old 'early access' forums are marked as supposedly 'read only' you have apparently discovered another bug as well
