Titles: Where are they?

In UO one received titles for GM'ing skills. Can we have that please?

God i miss being able to be a Dread Lord in UO so much work in becoming one .... i mean SO much Work ! was hard to keep the fame while maintaining a negative standing. So many murders =)

 

I totally agree! I remember killing the Ogre Lord in Wrong for days on end to get my Glorious Lord title in UO. I also remember slaying 10,000 beavers in Everquest 2 in order to get my Hunter of Beaver title. I was so proud of that one .

 

And as a new player to UO I looked at those titles with stars in my eyes!

Well we don't have beavers yet in the game but there are a lot of cats around.....

 

There should at least be a title for completing the main storyline quest as well. Should probably be 3 more titles for completing the 3 paths as well.

 

As mentioned in one of the Q&A to one of my questions on titles, they are coming in the near year, as well it was mentioned there would be away of some sort to go from lower title to a higher level title but no specifics. Example Knight to Lord etc. This would have been in the QA form 2-3 monthly patches ago.

 

There should definitely be a title reward for lifting a siege (Famously Handsome Liberator of Etceter....or something).

 

Titles where pretty cool in UO what a great suggestion. It would be awesome if the devs incorporated them they could even include it in their business model. Ie. Charge a fee for a title! If similar to UO they could have Karma titles and Fame titles and sell them separate or as a package... start getting that $$ going for EP2 with Ep1 launch so close...

 

From what I have seen over the past 2 years, there has to be at least 50 Jiras in their system for this. Throw in their weps taking names based on accomplishments... etc..etc...etc... So maybe some day.

But they are doing what they can do with the resources ($$$) that they have. If they had more $$$ Im sure we would have tons of cool things in place that people want.

Is there are lot of resources required to come up with titles for GMs, though? It just seems like providing a sense of completion would be a core part of gameplay as well as avatar character identity.

 

Yea we need an achievements tab for going places and doing weird stuff

If Bear_kill_count = 1000 then give title "bear killer"

All titles should be purchased. That way its fair! I also think running the servers is expensive.. maybe they should sell * performance boosts* in the store too ? I would totally pay 100$ for a week or faster load times.

But why stop there?
Why are they fixing bugs just willy nilly? I vote they add a bug smasher where you buy a token in the store and that will pay for the time it takes to fix the bug you submit with your token!

And who decided PoT purchases were final? I think owners should have to pay a good 100 or so gold cotos a day for the rent of their towns! That would let us have even more ways to give money to the devs!

And darkstarrs special items shouldnt be limited to that auction.. they should add those on the store too! Funds are good!

Now why is naming your character free??? They should make everyones name * Avatar * unless they pay a naming fee!

We should really put our heads togethrr and come up with even more ways for Port to fund the game! Another 3 months and the 200 000+ new players will thank us!

 

You have your tittles - they are gloves - armor - cloaks - - - - display what you EARN when you are rewarded the item.

Chose not to wear it so be it but the titles like Dread Lord where a complete JOKE. There was zero value in it and archiving such titles was mostly just doing one mindless thing over and over.

Make a Bear hat and rename it the Halo of 1000 Bear Patriarchs . . bee creative and no need to waste time with menuschis.
