On QA, I attempted to fight Krampus. However, he would heal faster than I could damage him. I killed all the "naughty brats" that I could find. Their bodies littering the area, I still couldn't hurt Krampus.

Is there something that I'm missing or is this just more content that I won't be able to do?

How was he to fight, otherwise? Like, would you have had a chance, if he could be hurt? (If I recall, we have similar builds and are close in level, so if it's a problem for you, it's probably a problem for me.)

Otherwise, he didn't hit too hard. I unloaded more than a thousand arrows and he just laughed at me.

I think you're missing a team. :) Krampus is an extra tough boss and should be assaulted with a group!

I guess we're all so used to "tough = hits hard" it feels like a bug if it's anything else. :)

It's really cool you're taking a different approach this time, though.

So more content that I don't get to do. Got it.

[edit] Just to expand on this a bit: by the time I get a group together, geared up, at the location and ready to go, play time is almost over. The last group that I had time for was to fight Riei Firefeather a couple of releases back. It took like 45 minutes before we actually engaged the fire chicken only to discover that it was bugged and none of us could damage it.

I appreciate that you all are trying to promote togetherness but it seems like all the new content over the last couple of years has been for groups only.

For something like this, pumpkinhead etc I'd prefer to see the bosses hp and regen knocked down.

With the way combat is, depending on your build this is either a trivial fight or not even possible.

Seasonal bosses are pretty good. If you want to do something different than your regular routine you can go and kill them.

Also those white piles on the ground could have been mineable snowballs :)

    @Sannio
Is there at least a chance for the naughty brats to relinquish a creepy dolly?

About getting a group together, Look for one in LFG, or form one yourself & mention it on Universal chat.
Unless you only have an hour to play, it shouldn't be that hard to get a group for Krampus right now.

& the game needs more grouping opportunities, like the Fire Water Swamp, to get people together & slay the foes...

After-all this is an MMO, not a single player game.

Yeah, there were three of 'em in LFG at one point. I joined one, we killed him a few times, then moved the party over to the Fire Swamp. No RoUS in sight, though. But holy carp, that place was fun. Probably not as good for attenuation (it takes too long to kill stuff, unless you're all really high level) but way more fun than UT. (Still didn't figure out what the Kobold Transmission Device does. Or, more importantly, what the consequences of destroying it are.)

But I have to say, is anybody else really disappointed that Krampus' list wasn't engineered so that your name appears on it, like the Dirae prophesy? (Unless it only appears if your shroud is black. Which would make sense, but since the seasonal content is kinda humorous anyway, it would be amusing if your name appeared in it when you read it regardless of virtue score.)

Krampus isn't really group content. Its just really hard solo content that can be done by low level groups. I"m reasonably sure he's being solo'd. A lot of the recent content is a DPS check which is new(and interesting).

We had groups running this last night. As long as you have a group, he's really not hard to take. Also, he repops quickly so it's not that painful getting everyone in the group to loot him once.

No, the creepy dolly item is only dropped by true zombies, and in our eyes the Naughty Children are still alive. They may look like death warmed over, but they can still chat, desire presents, and want to eat candy but not your brains. :)

The one in front of the building gives everyone near it (you AND the kobolds/monkeys) a strength buff (about 200 I think). If you destroy it the strength buff goes away. So the question is: Are you willing to let the kobolds have a 200 str buff so your group can have it too?

The ones on the top floor do something different. I think one of them was an incoming damage reduction for everyone. (You and the kobolds...)

I killed two times solo, melee tanking and I'm not in the top 20 of highest levels here.

I think a party of mid 70-90 alvls is enough for this boss, easier than the big pumpkin one.

Can I assume, like Pumpkin Head, if you have the quest to kill him, if you are in a group that does kill him, people can turn in the quest? Even if your character doesn’t actually kill them (you probably need to at least damage them)?

you need to loot the item from him, so it'll be like the phoenix feather. kill him until everyone in the group gets a turn.

I believe they might be vegetarian too ..

Naughty Brat: (talking to herself) I want a bean feast!

Maybe we shouldn't be killing them but trying to help them?

Ah - nice Alley.. I never heard of that before! (or Google'd it!)

Carry on - kill the little brats and let the Oracle sort them out!
