Several releases ago felled trees stayed felled, and the landscape was littered with trees lying on the ground.

Then starting in some past release the tree would disappear when you felled it, leaving only a stump.

Some players will prefer the trees lying about, others will prefer the stumps.

In R21 and R22, some trees disappear, leaving stumps, and some trees remain on the ground once felled. My feedback is: this is strange behavior.

My personal preference is for the cut-down tree to disappear, leaving only the stump.

I'm with you Kara, aka. Stumpy;). The felled trees bother me, they get in the way and don't look right. Also, assuming we've collected the wood, there should be very little left over imo.

If you walk over them they tend to disappear? I thought thats what I figured out. Could be wrong. Walk from the stump to the tip. It seemed to be linked to them going away.

I like the randomness of a felled tree and a stump. This adds to the world.

Maybe a felled tree yields 1/2 of the resources and the felled tree has the rest so you would need to chop that felled tree again making it disappear. But making this tree chopping 1/2 faster so it takes the same amount of time.

I agree a mix of felled tree or stump is good for the game. I don't want them all the be gone immediately upon falling.

I noticed that the trees that *I* cut, disappear and leave the stump. The ones cut by other players tend to stay a while.

But if a tree fells and noone is there to see it, did it really fell or not to fell that is the question ! :p

as I was writing this and writing about how I feel Lord British is being pushed aside by the wind of "new gaming trends" my old grandpa 50 year old pine tree snapped in the wind with a loud crack, it didn't even unroot it just snapped...

    RIP papy pine :(
