    Also, keep in mind, Exodus came from the future :) Maybe... Someone builds Exodus in Shroud of the Avatar and sends him back to Sosaria/pre-Ultima III!

    Sure, sure.

    But if your complaint is that there are too many windmills in a game that is going to be fantasy with tech, then you are in store for more disappointment.

    Time will tell. I have no problem with tech on the whole. It depends how tech is implemented. Tech in settlements are ok but I prefer a clear view on mountaintops.

    No one said every mountain would have it. We know there are other groups, like the Elves and the Kobolds, and each of them will likely have their own styling on the lands they inhabit.

    I like the windmills; it was part of the reason why I hopped the fence :) to go an explore a little

    It also adds to the feeling that I am entering a new world - in particular - one that is not in my present mindset or "construct" of what "a" fantasy would "should" look like.

    Agreed. One of the things I liked about the Ultima games is that I was exploring a familiar world, yet at the same time I was interested in seeing how my favorite places had changed. For example, the three volcanoes in U4 that would become the island where Lord Blackthorn's Palace was built in U5. That would become Sutek's lair in U6, and a place of Gargoyles in U7. Eventually, the Guardian took it as his own in U9.

    I am very interested in learning how tech has changed the world of New Britannia. Even if we only get Novia for Ep1, it appears we may later be able to revisit our favorite places and see how time--and the new tech--has changed them.

    Keep in mind not every town will have the wind mills so it'll be a rare occasion I think unless you visit really big cities.

    Yes, I don't recall Kingsport having any turbines, much less any electricity at all.

    Could be they only add the objects to power the Tesla tower, so it will probably only appear in the larger cities, just as you noted.

    Regarding technology, there were quite a few more subtle examples of it in this second release; did anyone notice the new machine, possibly air conditioning, by the Owls Head inn? The bellows and axe-head style slats were animated...

    I was really looking forward to spending a night of passion in the new cooled Inn, but then I discovered this, and couldn't bear to play any further;
