Top 10 Priorities for Launch (September 2017 Edition)

    Like the List and without having read the discussion i want you to add to get rid of minor bugs before release as i think first impression is key.

    Let us resize the deck window, it's important to quick select and have a better overview of our decks.

    Prevent snowing in Houses, yes less winterbiomes, but it's annoying and immersion breaking as hell

    There is again lag or timefreezes i died from sometimes. Ok this is Performance.

    You strongly need midlevel content like daily quests or treasure hunts.
    You know it's not everybodys Business to grind bosses.
    I cannot and i will never be able to even kill a Troll because of my choose skills and role.
    Where are the low bosses for Air, Moon, Water, Life Mages, what cannot be killed by Fire,Death, Sun, Earth people?

    Balance... Oh ok sorry, that horse is out of the barn.

    And please dear @Lord British do an official Statement about the game, about what you want to deliver, what is your target audience, and dont tell me everybody from super casual to super pro. Where is your arithmetic mean, the average if we talk about pvp.
    How are you going to balance this or arent you going to balance this and it's survival of the fittest.
    Please do a honest statement about Bosses, soloing them, switchmode grinding them, intended or not.
    Please make a statement about future adjustments for crafting, ressources and what the modes SPO and FMO for.

    Why punish SPO, but grant groups in MPO more ressources while group harvesting.
    Give everyone the same from a node (except meticulous...) in all modes, but grant groups a higher output.
    Make it neccessary to get very close to have the Bonus to prevent exploiting with Mules and get rid if the follow exploit people do.

    Make harvesting water more compelling.
    Maybe a mini-game to get more than 1 bucket at once by clicking and releasing at the right moment to get more.
    Make Wells have Limits to prevent exploiting.

    Make working caps, no matter if hard or soft, but just do working caps that encourage specialization over generalization and make people depend on each other in online Modes (also SPO), let them struggle on several things that are constraint group content what need a specialist.
    And that to all and every character or just say it's more about SP and less about MP and MMO.

    Just make clear Statements.

    I can live with all of it, with unbalanced SP game with MP options or with hard caps, working softcap, everything, but make people stop crying over things like death decay or imbalance (like me) or that it is just about grinding bosses/sieges whatever...

    Yes you will loose some people, but if you dont make a clear statement about what the game is intending and what not;

    Bosses intended soloable? - yes or no?
    Death Decay, great feature you believe (i agree) or you will think about because the achievers are crying like hell and threat you by leaving the project.

    And please tell us how do you think you will have the 100k-600k players after some merchandising without to draw a red line, to make clear statements about what and who this game is for.

    Are we going to play a RPG of Richard Garriott with no question marks, no fast travel system, no silvertray rewards or are we going to have a game with a painfull death decay, well balanced and meaningfull sandbox PvP and more immersing and roleplaying features like no fast travel and such.

    The masses wont ever like you or your game, you will never get even 10k people playing.
    I will sent you whatever you want from cologne if you ever have 2000 people online at once for a couple of days.

    I gift you my sidecar if you need to do a login queue mechanism because more people than your servers can handle want to login.

    Serious. Do it and dont let people despair because they never no what is going on.

    Want a funny sidenote.

    I met a new german player, we talked a little bit, then he asked me about Population. I said rumors are around 200-500 active.
    He answered 200 - 500 thousands or hundred?
    I said: haha hundred if course and he said: omg maybe Garriott should buy UO back from EA.

    Nothing to add.

    And this is why RELEASE is more important than a hundred little new wishlist things. SotA is still an "advance preview" game. When release happens, with enough Bad Stuff fixed (especially performance), we will get more population.

    I'll say it again (to everybody): official release does not mean end of new content, so don't feel like if your wishlist things aren't in, they will never be. The only thing that will end new content is the game failing, which it will do eventually if it never gets a real player base.

    Why ask Lord British for an official statement of his game when u just did one? Sound like its your game
