Topic...Cannibals ....where would they be or who would they be?

purhaps if the npc towns didn't allow for the sale, purchase, or display of human body parts the pc crowd would be appeased? That way the only way to encounter this 'gore' being spoke of would be to visit a player owned town that has enable the ability to display and sale of human body parts. That way you simply don't have to visit those towns if your not into it.

 

Well, I do that intentionally for a purpose. As it seems whenever someone asks for a controversial feature.. mainly stuff like cannibalism, sex & nudity or full loot open PvP.. any opposition is treated like a fridge element to be dismissed because hey only one or two people have said anything or someone made a moral argument which then gets dismissed (often in an unfriendly way).

I remember those folks besides myself who's spoken up. It's a little unpractical to keep a list for future reference. It's also true a lot of people who might speak up often avoid the threads entirely. That is my initial instinct and I very nearly decided to avoid this one. I remember at least one other people saying they do the same.

You will note I hope.. that I usually try to avoid "most people" or other claims of being the majority.. I don't see it as a strawman.. I see it as acknowledging those who aren't here. We can't be the only ones who share our opinions.

So anyway.. lurkers I imagine would be cannibals.. maybe not of themselves but they were human. Assuming they're still going in. Groups that may have remains on the surface after Shardfall or small isolated groups underground. I don't think there are any specific geological locations that scream "cannibals go here".

I think the overland map is going to be rather full.. so we're probably talking cave dwellers or roaming groups. That is assuming there's an NPC faction.

 

I like the travelling Carnival as a home for the odd strange and perhaps Cannibalistic quests and people....moving to different location each month for 3 weeks...then onto another location and all quest/chores/challenges etc reset.

That is just the nature of forums, people coagulate into subject that interest them, if devs see no interest, they move on.

You just gave this subject some interest which we cannot thank you enough for, just go back to the fridge and cool down your spirits cause you can be sure (too keep that paranoia going) that because you're against it the devs are going to put it in game, hehe

 

I secretly thought I was the only one wanting to thank Bowen for keeping the cannibal chat going lol If it wasn't for him, this discussion would have fizzed out 5 pages ago.
