Town Blessings Update

I wish the Dragon Bones did something cool.

 

How long do the buffs last?

What do the buff modifiers look like?

Can you leave the POT and use the buffs in other scenes?

How often are we looking at being under seige with all of them in a POT?

 

Cabalists are not likely to lay siege to those who have monuments to the anti-virtues. More likely they will be frequently visited by roving bands of militant do-gooders. Personally I'd rather face the Cabalists.

No variety in the NPC cities. Ardoris will only have Love.

Me and my criminal brethren have no use for the oracles babbalings.

 

Length of buff may depend on population (still finalizing that detail) but they will last a while.
Buff modifiers will look like I think you mean the icon? If so they will look like the symbol (but those might not be ready for R39).
Of course you can leave the scene. Otherwise there wouldn't be much point.
Quite often if you placed all of them, almost constant in fact.

 

Will there be at least one NPC city/town matched with each devotional?

How are the sieges going to work with a Nested POT with multiple entrances to it?

Do Avatars encounter the same siege if they share the same Devotional as their NPC anchor city for double jeapardy?

 

How will you decide where to put devotionals in NPC towns? For example, Owl's Head? On the one hand it doesn't seem fair to simply put it near the banks, they're already getting tons of traffic. But on the other hand, how can you put one near the under traveled areas of the town without making the entitled upset?

Will the hidden vale even have devotionals?

And can you tell the people of Kingsport that they don't get a devotional until they manage themselves down to a single light house, please?

 

@DarkStarr What will be the determining factor for people living in the town? Lots owned, labeled "Resident" by Governor/Steward, other?

 

@DarkStarr This is looking good for the 1st iteration. I wonder if y'all might consider not making it count against your NPC Bldg limit though. Those of us who only have a hold or hamlet are already very limited.

Is the blessing based off of the number of people in the town, or the number of claimed lots? If a player has 30 houses for others to live in (but claimed under his name to maintain deed ownership), would a town with two players have a stronger buff?

Nested POTs won't likely see sieges.
