OK so I just gm blade and am more of a tank character. Is it stupid to train archer? I want a bow for wolfs and things that should be fought from range but I don't wanna spend time training it if it's just better being a sword and tank!

    Thanks

    it is all your choice

and ability to maintain the exp to raise them and maintain them

netiher is better it is a totally personal choice

both cannot hurt and since you can change weapons easily a hybrid deck could work nicely

Try to raise a bunch of skills from that tree up to 60s and see if they're at your likings or not.

The first 85 into skills are easy. Then they start getting demanding so trying to do everything makes you under skilled for your level. Lots of wiggle room before you really need to make a choice

No reason not to do both. I know a lot of ranged fighters that enjoy the bow.

Yup. untill role specifics in a group are needed.
Doing both is fine, but 85 blades and 85 ranged, isnt the dame as 100 or 110 in one or the other.
Its not really a factor till your doing full party runs and need a dps archer, a tank to hold aggro.. etc etc.
That mix breed cant drop the mob as quick or protect the healer the same.
Very small variable to keep in mind, yet i am ageeeing, for most part run both till you find a reason not too

I found one way to keep away boredom is to try a new weapon. I have trained Bludgeon, and Ranged, both are a lot of fun and different than my usual spells-only build. So, when I get bored, I'll make a new deck and grab one of my other weapons and kill a few things... currently though, this logic is leading me to consider training swords too.. but one melee type weapon is good enough... maybe?? :D

Been wondering recently if the bow autoattack is superior dps to the use of wands/staves to buff glyph dmg

Yes. Auto-attack is currently better DPS than the boost on wands (unless you have a REALLY well designed wand with attunement to match).

Thank yall for the help, I think I'm gonna stick to sword till it's as good as it gets and train up shield so I feel like I have alot to train, maybe later down the road train into more diverse character,

    Thanks
