Trapped

    I always play each release as a "new player" to see what that would be like. I think the new start scenes are great and did all the Solace Outskirts quests but could not find Quentin and got no credit for going to Solace Bridge, nor from Blood River. I ended up going to Brookside, lost track of where the Lunar Rift was and am now trapped on the far side of Vauban Pass.

    If I was a new player I would now quit.

    No that will only take me to the North Gate. There is no way a new player can get anywhere except Recall or Teleport. Perhaps new players could arrive "Pre-bound" to Isle of Storms or be resurrected there.
    Better yet why make it possible for a new player get to Brookside?

    Anyway 25 min of running around Brookside in the dark and mist and no LR so I am done with testing. A lot more has to be done de-bugging the new player experience or this game will go nowhere.
