Uncloned Scenes

I asked this question in the Q3 status update thread... I feel like this deserves its own thread, but I was unable to delete my original post.

What is the current plan to unclone the remainder of the scenes? Storm's Reach (and I'm certain many other towns) are still copies of existing scenes. This wasn't listed as being in the Q3 update. What does that mean, exactly?

And to the community: does anyone know of a current accurate list of what has been uncloned and what hasn't?

I'm excited too, and I willing to wait for something amazing (I found out that our town is currently a clone of Aldwater, located just west of Ardoris).

By the way, I love your lot (@Black Tortoise ), I use the stations all the time, and the Slapping Bird is the best. Thanks for making Storm's Reach a cooler place to live.

 

best guess is uncloning everything got benched beccause it was too expensive. Imho it's in the nice to have category anyway. There are still a decent amount of scenes that got uncloned but have zero quests or just a single generic quest in it. Bringing more live into the existing unique scenes would be lower hanging fruit with just as much effect. That plus the bugs in content everybody uses and finishing and polishing of half-finished systems should take priority.

That being said, I can't really see how they could justify starting work on episode 2 content, when parts of the episode 1 landmass are still placeholders.

 

Well at this point lots of promises are changed. We will now just get what we get to make quality of life updates, UI updates, and of course still performance updates as they can. If after those we get players and funding then perhaps we will get back to things like this. and just imo and I could be wrong.

 

@majoria70 they do seemed to have put priority in ideas to make new money rather than fulfill promises that have already been paid for. It is a shame.

 

Thanks! Im glad the community finds it useful. I just remodeled this weekend, The Storm Shadow Tavern is now a few stories taller, and the crafting stations are (mostly) inside. Stop on by and enjoy a Brittany Ale!

I expect that we will still see some uncloned scenes going forward, maybe just not at the same pace as it once was. It makes sense to focus on QOL, UI and similar issues, but they have to continue to unclone spots and modify tiers as the playerbase continues to shift around in base abilities.
