UPDATED 2: Automatic Redemption of Rewards Release 63 (was 62)

I believe you could send unclaimed rewards as gifts to friends from the account page in the past. Will this still be possible or will it have to happen in game?

 

You can send as a gift on Purchase.
You can send as a gift through the Mail System in-game.
I believe the loss of the send as a gift prior to claiming in-game is a minor loss of functionality when measured against the ease of use, and reduction in the confusion that claiming rewards has always created.

 

I was hoping that sentence would end with "... will be delivered by an uncomfortably large dragon". The mail dragons.

one question: Will they still initially show as green? - I find the green highlight makes it a lot easier to see which items are new.

 

So one bad thing about this.

I have several accounts, and I know many others do as well. For telethons, I would order a small item on each account, and then after it processed I would send it to my main account. However, I don't want those rewards on my other accounts; I want them on one, not only for online but also when I claim offline.

I'm not going to be able to make purchases on other accounts with this change (not that I was anyway, since I lost all of my friends due to forced multiplayer, but thats another issue).

In this case, easier yes, but fewer purchases potentially.

 

If they were all under my control, that's doable. But like I said, it doesn't effect me anymore, just making an observation.

 

May I suggest a celebratory notification, not just white text or the normal gray popup box?

 

As @Rufus D`Asperdi mentioned earlier, you should be able to send it as a gift to your alt accounts.

That's what I've been doing.

Login to each account and make my store purchase as a gift for my main.

I receive an email with the store items. Click on each web link and the browser reports I'm about to receive a gift for the account I'm currently logged in as.

Easy

 

If you bought small items during telethons to get the rewards, just buy them as a gift and put in the account you want them to be delivered to.

The account logged into when making the purchase will qualify for the rewards and the main account you want to claim them will be the one that receives them.

Should not be any problems created by the new claiming system.

Is this why I already don't see a Claim Rewards button in the bank window now? or is that a bug?

No... it is intended functionality, Your Grace.
Rewards are no longer claimed through the Bank interface, but through the Rewards Interface which is accessed using the Treasure Chest Icon which appears as the rightmost icon in the menu bar in the upper right hand corner of the Game UI. The Claim Rewards button now appears on the interface invoked by clicking that icon. In release 61, the Claim Rewards button will cease to exist, as Rewards will be automatically attributed, obviating the need for the claim action.
