UPDATED: Double XP for Week 1 & 2 of R53

    Thanks to the incredible turnout we had for the Stress Test on QA there will be Double XP (Adventuring & Quests) for Week 1 of R53!

    We had to increase our server license on the QA server there were so many people! 330+ at one point in three separate instances!

    We also finally found and fixed the AOE issue that has been troubling everyone for so long (ex. casting Elysian Illumination in crowded scenes slowing framerate).

    UPDATE: Unfortunately the performance fix to AOE has introduced several bugs that are effecting anything that uses AOE including instrument artifacts and AOE spells. Because of that issue which we will fix in a patch on Monday we are going to extend Double XP by 1 more week.

    Yes it was really bad performance. I decided to not try to move around too much and just went into dance mode and healing a friend and myself if the creatures got too close. Still in all the difficulties of movement this is an experience we all experience together for the good of the game. I am happy to have shared it with all of you who could make it and for those who couldn't be there hopefully there will be another time if this is what you desire. :)

    great test of the systems that monitor the number of players keeping the server up for those playing and in the test area the server kept going at a stable frame rate of between 3 to 4 FPS and the server not crashing even when main bosses and a lot of combat at the end. and a win win for all portalrium and we the players have a great stable system and one week of double XP.
    I am looking forward to that extra XP next release.

    I was unable to get in from 90mins before because server was at capacity even then! Anwyay, a monthly stress test should happen.... same reward as always :D. No but seriously, these stress test should happen normally. Will help to maximize performance.

    If it is like the previous double xp period, it is double the adventurer experience and I believe double the experience from quests completions.

    Well - the debug console only goes to 3.00 FPS at its lowest, it seems - I felt like it was about 0.5 FPS during the fighting :)
