Use the first guard in Outskirts to open extra bar

    This gives the player something to play with on the way up, namely the Light!

    And if you can make sure the guy runs to them and autoactivates (don't know if that's possible) then you can make sure they don't miss it.

    (or maybe every guard, if you can't have them run up and do it automatically)
