It would be cool to expand the in-game mail system to be also useable for player made quests. Player made quest items are send to the mailbox and trigger progression.

Some items allowed to make them quest items, this maybe books, papers (empty or written one) and _crafted_ keys. And skulls dropped from players! *(see add)

    - The mailbox get a new tab named "Quest triggers".
    - To make a item a quest item the item needed to be dragged into the "Quest triggers" tab. This opens a new window asking what should be done when the item is received (when a player send this item to the mailbox of the user who created the quest item/trigger).
    -- The Action is:
--- Send a message/receipt to the user who has created the trigger (pre defined like vendor receipts)
--- Send a in-game mail to the users mailbox that has send the quest item back *(see below)
--- If the user made the selection and confirms:
---- a guid/uuid is added to the item properties.
---- the user made quest item is given back to the inventory
---- the new trigger is added to the "Quest triggers" tab.

The user can then add the item to a container somewhere or sell it to a NPC to add it to the general loot table.
The item is may also used in a dungeon room loot table: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...-tables-for-dungeon-rooms-with-spawns.157875/
Player made quest items may also sold on player vendors.
Player made quest items may hidden between other items by using/adding this:

    *(here is below)
    - The mail that is send back to the user who has send back the user made quest item may contain a book or paper describing further steps to do and may contain additional text describing the ongoing story. This paper is, of course, user made/written.
    - The mail send to the user who has send the quest item can contain as many items as allowed by the in-game mail system.
    - This mail may contain the reward (gold, cotos or what else) if this was the final step.
    - This mail can also contain other user made quest items that are required to send to another users mailbox.
    - This mail may be only a subject line.
    - This mail is may charged by the system.

To keep it simple the quest journal is not used. It is on the one who has created the quest to provide a journal like thing are hands out a book at the end. Or not.

May some restrictions apply. So that users do not spam the system with player made quest items / triggers.
May allow only 10 or so quest item and may limit the amount of active triggers.

The trigger will be removed when the player made quest item is received.

To allow more then one player doing the quest at the same time more triggers and quest items needs to be created.
Eg: to allow 5 players doing the quest at the same time, 5 quest items and triggers needs to be created.

Deleting the trigger will also delete/remove the player made quest item from game.
Destroying the player made quest item will also delete the trigger.
(Both are connected by the guid/uuid, the trigger waits for an item with the uuid/guid that was given on creation)
(The trigger stores a ready made mail (created by the user) and the uuid/guid. If the trigger is deleted by the user who created the trigger, the prepared mail is send to the users mailbox)
(It is nothing else as sending a mail to an user that is not currently known, but known when the player made quest item is received)

    *(here is add)
To make a player skull a quest item, a skull from a player (regardless from whom) is dragged into the "Quest triggers" tab and the name is asked from whom the skull is wanted. This does not give back the skull. The skull is consumed when the trigger is completed.
To trigger the trigger a skull with the name given needs to be send to the mailbox. (the uuid/guid field may contains skull_<player_name> in this case).
However the skull wearer is not deleted from game when the trigger is deleted.
